I don't post on here as much as I used to but that's only because I'm busy with other things Same goes for actually riding! I have looked on other forums but this one is easily the most friendly and I have learnt a lot from reading the threads on here so thanks! Next year I hope to get out more and maybe meet up with some of you guys and girls

Tango is correct. The Mk4 was known as Astra G and Mk5 was known as the Astra H.

Failed mod 2 and now I'm nervous

You don't mention a lifesaver. That and more observation in your mirrors when you were approaching the line of traffic would have helped prevent that. It might have been that he came out from behind the examiner but a good lifesaver would have shown that he was there. If you were to the left of your lane before deciding to take the right hand lane then I would have done two lifesavers, the first to cross the middle of your lane and again to cross the lines to enter the right hand lane. Seems like you've answered this one yourself already -
I assume by "Eastern Europe" he actually meant East Anglia..?

That's brilliant! A big to the people who made his life a misery. -
We had the same when my Dad was stationed there. It was great, perfect place for a man-cave before the phrase man-cave was even thought of..

The one complaint I had about my old GSXF was the lack of tarty up bits available for a decent price. I kept mine looking pretty standard apart from a double bubble screen and I colour coded (of sorts) the lower fairing. A Delkevic can was really the only non standard thing I fitted.

Crusty old helmets..
davefly76 replied to davefly76's topic in Clothing, Luggage, Accessories and Security
999: what service do you require? You: fire brigade please 999: what's the emergency? You: I've got a crusty old helmet I want to give to the nice firemen... 999: pervert.... (hangs up) Haha! I could just pop down the local station and calmly ask one of them if they would like to use my helmet.. -

No! Not that helmet! I seem to have gathered a collection of old crash helmets that I no longer need/want. They are all decent condition but are passed their sell-by date. Any suggestions of what I can do with them, is there a specific place I can take them to be used/recycled or whatever? It just seems a waste to chuck them in the normal recycling or to take them down the dump.

I'll echo what a lot of people have already said. Matt LeBlanc was pretty good although some of it seemed a bit wooden, I liked him when he was a guest on the old show, James Blunt impressed me then too Chris Evans is OK in small doses on the Radio and I actually thought he would be quite good on TG. He has a real interest in cars and is a decent enough TV presenter but what was going on with his hair?! I didn't like the false crowd interaction and they seemed to try and make it very American which just doesn't work over here, unlike the old show where there was genuine enthusiasm (or so it seemed) for the presenters. There was a natural rapport with the old 3 and although a lot would have been scripted, you got the impression that they really did get along as mates on a car show - some of the impromptu laughing between each other made the stunts/gags even more entertaining. I don't think we'll get that with this new set-up.

Test questions
davefly76 replied to Ristonbiker's topic in CBT, Test and Advanced Training Information
Yep, go get some proper lessons, it might one day save your life.. Will you be doing a restricted licence (A2) or the full fat version. If you're going down the A2 route then your brothers bike will have to be compatible -

Just completed my CBT, however....

Find a decent school and ask them if you can have an hour or so with them to give you some pointers. You don't say how old you are or whether you can already drive but get a copy of the highway code and read it! -

I am self employed and a sole trader, although that doesn't mean I can't have a partnership with another person (I know, confusing!) The main difference as I understand between sole trader and a Ltd company is that as a ST I am wholly responsible for any debts that may occur if it all went wrong. Therefore, if I had property, shares, etc then they can all be taken to pay off any debts. With a Ltd Co it is only the business that will suffer, not any personal effects. In my situation my girlfriend has paid off her mortgage, but currently has no part of the business from a financial point of view. If I were to add her as partner to my business and then the worst happened her property can then be used as way to pay off some debt. When the time comes we will set up as a Ltd Co with us both named as directors which will protect her assets. So, really you need to work out what is best for you and your circumstances. I am lucky that my business doesn't require me to spend a lot on stock, equipment etc but if you need to borrow money or have a large capital lay out it may be better for you to start a Ltd Co from day one. There are loads of other differences such as Tax etc but the one I've mentioned is the most relevant to me at the moment. Oh, good luck!

There is a pub near me called the three horseshoes. If I get a pic with that will I get points for three (tuns) and horseshoes? Or just horseshoes..?
