  1. Trouble is they are made from Kangaroo and tend to bounce somewhat when/if you hit the tarmac
  2. I got a great one and really cheap ....ang on Ill try find the link http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 0577449145 I was sceptical about this but when I got it I was very happy as it is a motion sensor and gives you time to set it ect. It is pretty loud and comes with spare key and battery. Very heavy duty and SHINEY CHROME !! Just to start you off defnitley recommended buy for something to start of with. just got one the other day and its built solid and defnitley makes a noise lol And if someone trys to "jack" your bike you can always Hit them with it !! it weighs a ton

  5. The Year was 1978 Just turned 17 and I just got my First BIG bike ...I was King of the road !
  6. Well Done I knew you would Pass good luck looking for a new bike thats all part of the fun took me Agggggeeessss to decide what to get
  7. If the locking nut (outside one) was loose then they both could have fallen off . I was checking over my bike the other day and noticed a Mudguard nut missing so I thought i would go over the whole bike and when I did I found many Nuts and allen screws loose. I was Very suprised, so now I will check these things every week or so .
  8. Congrats Well done M8, Your Free at last !
  9. Here you go .... http://cardiffmotorcycleschool.co.uk/mo ... g.asp?i=37 Good luck with your test !
  10. I use acf but I doubt there is anything that does all ACF does and It not only stops rust coming but halts rust if already present + cleans and keeps electrics protected from moisture. I use it as a kind of Dry clean on my bike and it always looks good after
  11. I have the Bridgestones and I agree .....Wish I had michelins Love em...maby next time but the battleax are not a Bad tyre Imo but Do not inspire the confidence that michelins do (for me)
  12. You will have to awnser 2 show and tell qestions and you will have to do a few manouvers like pulling away from the kerb but No stunts thank gawd
  13. Being too slow is my speciality so I feel qualified to awnser this one On My Mod 2 it was rainy and I defo did NOT go over 50 even on the dual carriage way. I did wonder if I would suffer for not keeping to the speed liimit but he did not say anything and either they make allowance for 125 riders or It was because it was raining he let me take it slower
  14. after each exercise the examiner gives you plenty of time to prepare for the next so sorting your gears out will be part of your restart procedure anyhow. Just Do not Do what I did and start the engine without the clutch in even though neutral light was on cos I nearly ran over his foot
  15. Well done It is very satisfying to Do it on your own and good for your bank account also Best prep is Riding (obviously) and as you ride, talk to yourself about what you are doing, you have to be able to asses yourself and know when you are making mistakes So that you can correct them as you go along. On the day, half the battle is keeping calm and focused so you Don't make any killer mistakes. If the examiner see's you are safe and fairly confident he will pass you as he is not looking for an expert motorcyclist
  16. Watch the many Utube vids then Practice what they show you over and over till you are perfect, in a car park or industrial estate will be ideal and you can even download a mod 1 course diagram (which is what I did ) so you can get the exact measurements between the cones ect
  17. I wouldn't expect when taking my Car test to have the examiner following me on a bike and in the Same vain I would not be happy on my bike test to have an examiner following me in a Car .....But thats just me
  18. http://cardiffmotorcycleschool.co.uk/mo ... g.asp?i=37 There you go
  19. Big event Down here the tour of cornwall in memory of martin Jennings TT rider killed in 1987 The largest motorcycle charity run in history apparently ! http://www.swinton.co.uk/motor/motorcyc ... a=19351161 Think I might Do it as it is gonna be sunny and entry is only £3 orginised by the First and last motorcyle club
  20. A good point well made
  21. Fuel injection YBR's have a sidestand So has anyone seen if that will fit on the earlier models ? You would think the Frame was the same
  22. I clipped it onto the nose guard inside the helmet, the visor didn't close all the way but as the weather was dry and warm it didn't bother me. As its a solid clip there is no protection from shocks so clipping it directly onto the bike might be a no no.. Hope the biker who got "wasted" is ok. BB Yeah what on earth happend? Wasted seems a bit strong, makes me thing of GTA 1. Sorry It was a generic term as I play Gta Alot I saw the biker leave the meet with a pillion and I was just a minute behind and next thing there is someone under a blanket on the roundabout and bike bits everywhere but its a main roundabout so got sent down a side road so Don't know the outcome. I was in my Jeans and Trainers which is unusual for me So I Suddenly got the erge to go home and tuck my bike away. Maby I will try putting some rubber between the indicator and the camera to stop the shock a bit
  23. Biggest Tip Do not worry about doing silly little mistakes,Just avoid makeing the Stupid BIG one Me and alot of others have Done under pressure of the test And My examiner told me NOT to have lessons as it may Ruin my riding Style So lessons are not the Be all and end all.
  24. You should of heard the full 50 minutes, the wife reckons i need locking up! BB Interesting VIdeo So.. well mounted camera how did you Do it ? As regarding lost footage,I found the same and realised when I swiched the camera on I was switching it off streight afterwards as there is some delay on the switch,so also lost alot of footage ! Camera mounted on my Left Indicator Today for a bit of BIKECAM action and Found when mounted on the Bike there is alot of wavy Vibration In the video that was not there when helmet mounted . Went to the local Bike meet to try it out and one of the Bikers got wasted on the roundabout just as I got to it so I decided to call it a day For now
