  1. Should a man that can not even remember he came into the pub with a 6 year old daughter after a few beers be running a country ?
  2. YOu would be welcome to stay with me and watch it on telly?
  3. Sorry Scorpion Only to B&Q or Tesco would I have done that complaint, cos In case I forgot to mention they get on my wick
  4. I think now I have thought about it a bit more and considering how I hate B&Q I would make a complaint to customer services about putting me in a position where I could loose my job and want a full written account from head office what they intend to do to make sure this never happens again !
  5. If a store detective came out and asked to see your receipt and your tool bag was not on it you would be stuffed I expect ? I would go back and pay but thats just me despite hating b and q like you would not belive
  6. Cheers for the advice!! I was wondering if it would crack if the roof flexed. I asked one GRP specialist about it, but they didnt comment... Maybe felt is the way forward then... did you discover any other options whist you were investigating? How heavy are your seagulls!!?? They are HUGE !!!! felt 10-15 years gel felt 15-20 ( but a third of the price so 45-60) GRP can be as much as 20-25 years The flexible "felt" is more a gel and can last 25-30 I found GRP roofs craze and split in varient temps as unlike boats they are subjected to extream temps Gel felt heats up in hot weather and as its almost a liqued it does not crack and also gel felt is repairable as it can be patched if holed I Have had my new felt 5 years sofar and it looks like the day it was laid but is as I said subject to extream changes in temp and the dreaded Seagulls, cats and builders that were trampling all over it when my chimeny was rebuilt Most important if the garage or flat roof is part of the main house they should get buliding control to inspect the insulation and if you have a good roofer they will work outside this allowing you to add your own at a later stage this saves you a lot of fees !
  7. I was going to have one until I looked into it further turns out its a bad investment as its actual life is no more than the new flexible felt covering I looked into it Very well and ended up having the flexible felt at half the price yet has a longer life expectancy Not going into detail but this felt stays soft and takes shape if you press into it but then goes back to normal like memory felt Bare in mind we have seagulls so a good strong long lasting covering was important Do some research and then decide
  8. there have been a couple of times I have been tempted to do that at work. but as I work nights I know there is no point because I am the only biker there, and there is room for another 5 bikes anyway. the only time someone parked there in the day there wasn't enough room to park behind it what is the legality of boxing in a car in a car park anyway? on the public road if you leave a vehicle in the way I think it can be towed, so could a bike be towed if parked in the way of a car getting out? If you prevent a vehicle moving out you are causing an obstruction preventing it from getting in is not (parking spaces and garages only) stopping a vehicle getting in a road is another matter
  9. just for interest ....... St Ives in Cornwall in the summer D&C Police would employ up to 12 Traffic Wardens in the season for a fairly small but busy town with very narrow streets (for those who have never been ) Now since it became a civil matter the local council send a man in a van around as and when they can afford it and this man covers most of west Cornwall as well and guess what ! the lack of Traffic Wardens has made No diference to the town, it still ticks along and the traffic still flows ! Civil Parking enforcment officers (as they are now known ) make no diference to anything except in one inportant area IMO and that is the abuse of the blue badge scheme.
  10. Been a while but just a little update for people in a simalar situation ! Since my last post on this matter I have been to 3 hospitals and a physio clinic x3 ,and have seen 4 specialists My knee seems ok now despite a bit of bone floating about that was broken off. The company responsible admitted full liability ! they neglected in their duty of care to me and broke several health and saftey rules. Did you know that when you get a delivery, your home becomes a workplace in the eyes of health and saftey ! Anyhow a few weeks ago I had to go for a full medical report with a GP and that has to be sent off to the company before any award is made, so no closure yet but as I said before its not about money its about the atitude of the company after the accident and they needed to learn from it !
  11. never heard of such a reasonable 'guy' £30 for 90mins work amazing... or do you mean 9minutes!!! Charges £20 per hour so 90 minutes is £30
  12. I am wondering by the time you bought all the gear maby it would be actually cheaper to "let someone else do it"? Also add in the hassle factor ! My M8 was trundling down the M5 when his chain snapped and instead of dropping out the back it went into the sprocket cover and minced his motor and gave him a nasty pant stain I think I would get a Pro to do it who has all the right tools and experience (my guy charges £30 and takes about 90 minutes to do it)
  13. Just gone from Bridgestone 016 to Pilot 2 and its night and day ! The bridgestones were starting to erode my confidence day by day and it was usual on my 14 mile commute to slip out on the front or back wheel at least twice a day. Finally bit the bullet and spent £260 on some Michelin pilot 2 and Have ridden them a couple of days and my only description for these tyres is "WHoooo hoooo " Amazing grip, smooth,no slips even on really rough road ! Love these tyres and with a few miles my confidence is coming back in spades Best tyres I have had since the Michelin sportys on my YBR which got me through my test So I highly recommend the Michelin pilot 2 and they are Formidable
  14. Me thinks techno needs a big ol cuddle.. If thats what it takes girl ....... yeah this nodding is really bullshit .......
  15. If I nod at a fellow biker and he/she doesn't nod back I spin around and chase them up the road, kick them off their bike, jump on top of them and ram their helmet into the tarmac screaming NOD you Barsteward ! see that wasnt Hard was it ! Obviously this is just an image in my head as I continue up the road Actually I used to feel a little rejected but After time you realise you are just nodding at someone on a bike and only hoping they are actually a biker
  16. From what I have read ..... Sell the thing on for spares and cut your losses now cos even if it was pristine and running like a swiss watch it would still be a pile of cack and this one will end up costing a fortune !
  17. Who are you calling an idiot

  20. I think they missed a trick really it should have been the first judge to buzz wins that artist for their team rather than the contestant choosing a reluctent judge IMO

  23. Read the post properly before commenting Colin ! He is still getting licence fee money from the BBC and that is my money it had nothing to do with getting out or turning off the TV as I have to pay as long as I have a Tv in my house We pay their wages so we have a duty to point out when they are wasting OUR money dont we ?
  24. Got a bit worked up about my hard earned money paying Jonathan Ross's over inflated wages so wrote to the BBC telling them if they continue to employ him I will stop buying a licence to pay his wages. I was somewhat suprised by the reply I got and it went some way to make me feel better as they clearly have simalar thoughts about him that I do. May I add nobody has ever annoyed me enough to contact the BBC until Jonathan Ross came along Here is the reply : Thanks for contacting the BBC. We understand you feel Jonathan Ross shouldn't be employed by the BBC. Jonathan Ross is no longer a BBC employee as such, and no longer presents his Friday night entertainment programme or his Radio 2 programme. He is however, contracted by the BBC for the presentation of the British Academy Film Awards, and has been for the last 5 years. Although he isn’t the face of BBC films anymore, he is a hugely knowledgeable expert on World Cinema which is quite a specialist subject matter. When it was announced that Jonathan was leaving, it was made clear that he would still present various projects including the British Academy Film Awards and projects like The World Cinema Awards. Please be assured we've registered your complaint on our audience log. This is a daily report of audience feedback that's circulated to many BBC staff, including members of the BBC Executive Board, channel controllers and other senior managers. The audience logs are seen as important documents that can help shape decisions about future programming and content. Thanks again for taking the time to contact us with your concerns. Kind Regards Robert Regan BBC Complaints
