  3. i just bought the oxford bone dry 2 fingered gloves a few weeks ago as although i have heated grips, my fingertips are getting bloody cold. since i got them, i've not needed my heated grips on, my fingers (and hands) stay toasty warm. have a look at these from ghost bikes. http://www.ghostbikes.com/products/3917 ... loves.html also on ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/OXFORD-TRI-DI ... 805wt_1023

wow, would have loved to, but couldn't get that much time off work. hope you manage to get sorted and have a fab time.
  6. Lol. Not sure about the teas. This one is darn quick. But remember my last bike was a deauville and I thought that was quick.
  7. Lol. I know. Having never had nor heard one before it was a little unusual from my point Of view. But I'm now getting used to the sounds this beast makes.
  8. well, just a topper to my week. went to fit the pinlock to my visor and one of the pins has snapped 9popped out in 2). it's an LS2 flip front. can you buy the pins and if so,where.
  9. well, it's a bit of me and a bit of the bike design.lol seems they are a clunky bike, plus me being a newby with it seems to add a bit more. mechanic says it is running like it should. full service last week. new battery, plugs and so on. got to agree with Tango, if i get it right, gear change is quite smooth, get it wrong and it does clunk, but not as bad as it seems to lol. think i am just a bit paranoid with it being new to me, dealer said it takes many many miles to get used to the quirkyness of the guzzi. but boy i love it. my wife went as pillion for the first time yesterday and she says we should have got one first time round. so much better for her back, smoother over bumps, more protection, better sitting position and so on. thanks for all the comments guys.
  10. took the moto guzzi norge out for a great run on Monday, was fab, 100+ miles and it sounded great. was pottering around town yesterday and it was clunking into the gears, not as smooth as day before, also had a couple of false 1st gears, put it into 1st from neutral, neutral light off, but bike not in gear. now i have noticed when i let clutch so far out quickly there is a loud clunk from the bike. have i got a problem or is it just the type of bike, shaft etc.
  11. What model was it? Moto Guzzi Norge 1200T When did you buy it and how much did it cost? bought 18/01/2012 paid £5795 Good points? suitable for short legs, low centre of gravity so easy to manage at slow speed. great instrument layout, easy to read and computer tells you just about everything you need to know. engine feels very responsive for a tourer, slips through the gears with no effort (6 speed). sounds amazing, looks amazing. huge panniers, seat is very comfortable, even on a 3 hour ride i felt fab. love the heated grips as standard. when idling the whole bike just sits and growls at you, lmao. Bad points? side stand to far forward for me, i have to push my left leg to the limit to get stand up, down is no problem. standard screen could have been another inch or two higher, but larger ones are available. can't think of any more at the mo, but i'm sure there will be as the weeks roll on. Would you get another? at the moment, definitely. it's a good sized tourer without being over big or over heavy. Any other comments? at the moment i'm watching my average MPG, it's reading 39mpg which i think is a bit low, but i have been a bit heavy putting it through it's paces, so i will watch it over the next few trips out to see what we get.
  12. my speedo went off last night. took cable off and looks like one the pins that fits into the gearing has snapped, not only that but the pin that is in the gear housing has snapped too. however, when i put them back together the speedo is now working. but to be on the safe side i have ordered a new cable. but can't find a speedo gear (the part that fits on the front wheel), anyone have one for sale. needs to fit an 02 honda deauville (the one with combined braking), not sure if there is any difference between years.
  13. ended up with a scala team pro set, was on offer. not tried it yet, just charged them up. but looks the bit.
  14. not sure if it goes here, so feel free to move it. we are after new helmets, flip front preferred. but we want bluetooth so we can talk to each other (pillion to rider as i'll not get a word in). has anyone used a bluetooth helmet or can link me to any write-ups. don't want to go spending hundreds of pounds only to find they are rubbish. ta.
  15. it may be that your battery isn't capable of charging them. i have some, only fitted a few weeks ago. i notice that if i turn them on while the bike is idling or just started then the grips run at 30%. once i'm away they will go to 100%. i think it's a safety feature so as not to drain your battery. it may be that your battery is to low an amperage. not sure but i think you need a battery higher than 6A with mine anyway.

    fork leak

we have been on since 2pm yesterday. took about an hour to get fork off as every bolt/screw was seized. we have tried again this morning, but it still wont budge. think it will be easier to replace the fork.

    fork leak

have done all the above. the seal moved enough to prize it out at the garage (no damage to the fork at all) but this was after a few hours of pulling it back and forth. since then nothing has moved. it appears to be stuck where it is. nothing else we have tried seems to work.

    fork leak

had a leak in right side(as u sit on bike) fork. had massive problems getting old seal out then could not get stantion out at all. seems something has moved/warped or whatever and we are stuck. even took it to the garage and they could not get it out. so looks like i need a replacement fork. have posted in wanted section.
  21. fantastic, well done.
