  1. better luck next time, it's a real pain when it's on something that's subjective.
  2. Now that's incentive to get it done first time - good luck
  3. All the best - good luck and keep warm and safe
  4. Bad luck - get that speedo checked and get straight back out.
  5. OMG - I think I preferred the XJ6 for ride and handling, but ther hornet blow me away. I have it for a few months, going to enjoy that. I just felt think a tamed lion wanting to bite at any time.
  6. Nope - but I'm enjoying the trying out lots of different bikes. I do really like the XJ6 Diversion, it's so comfortable and easy to ride. hated getting on my YRB after an hour on that.
  7. Good luck Ben_E - enjoy it. As others have said, do your observations and enjoy the ride. Be positive and don't run anyone over at mini-roundabouts. I nearly failed for that, but they stopped walking before the half way line across the road.
  8. Yippee - Passed. Couldn't let Dale get all the limelight Well done Dale
  9. Friday is tomorrow Didn't realise the north and the south were THAT far apart
  10. - just go for it and enjoy it. I'll be able to give you more info on what it's like tomorrow
  11. 11.00am - beware all those that live in Enfield, North London, I'll be on the road Let's get it sorted and out the way - let's lose those L plates
  12. Ben_E - if you're learning at the same school as me, then I had the same issue. They asked me to book the tests as they no longer block book. I ended up search the DSA website every couple of hours until a cancellation came up that I could do, fortunately for me, I couldn't do the test for a month or so after the MOD1, roll on Friday (5th)
  13. Well done on the MOD 1, good luck with MOD 2
  14. Is it worth using on a visor? I tend to turn my head sidewise at lower speeds and that seems to help clear the visor, but my other half has just treated her car to a spray of rainex and that looked good. Didn't know if it would damage the visor.... Cheers,
  15. From what I've seen, the visor is more there to protect you while you ride. Riding at night in the summer you become an insect magnet - Had a pretty hefty bug splat on my visor, if it was up I would have been off the bike for sure. While the pinlock may seem expensive, you can use it on more than more helmet (when you buy another - they don't last forever) and you can get tinted ones too - and swap them over. I've used sprays from day one, but got feed up and bought a pilnock - love it. Some people say that it can dazzle you at night as you see a rim of light around the edges - I wear glasses so see that every night anyway so it's easy to get used to. I've also use a breath deflector (is that the right term?) - I've found it helps, but you do reduced your vision with it.
  16. I can't wait - really looking forward to it. But in the market to get a nice warm waterproof winter jacket and gloves now Since getting the bike I've spent £600 on gear, which I didn't really budget too much for (just managed to get some overtime) but it really makes a difference to know you don't care about the weather and can just get on a go. I cannot recommend the neck warmer things, comfy's or buff's (something like that), they kept that vital bit warm between your jacket and helmet - at £7 for 3, best investment I've made so far. - Mikey
