I think the reason for using pure nitrogen is not to do with pressure changes with temperature- all gases are the same and governed by Boyles law,as I recall.

Welcome from Scarborough. Depending on where in North Yorkshire you are, there are some good roads, also straying into East Yorkshire

Shop around. Online you can get 2yd for £108. Last time I looked locally ( a few weeks ago) 6yd was around £260 but you can see them for just over £200 if you look online.

Use a bicycle GPS. All the cycle speedos I have used will register 50mph at least - I haven't managed to go any faster.

I have been using custom moulded earplugs for many years. The shape and size of my ear canal means that any off-the-shelf ones never work. There are different types of material used for the custom ones. I prefer the softer ones (Starkey). Anywhere that does hearing aids should be able to sort you out if you find normal earplugs don't work. I wear mine all the time unless I am just nipping into town in 30/40mph limits for 10 or 15 minutes. Keith

It's a UK sticker now!

My clothing matches but the airbag prevents them zipping together.

Not at the moment, but then it seems to be raining all the time and howling winds.

Correct. Although I seem to remember a few years ago the council banned motorcycle parking in several popular spots such as by the bandstand at the end of the pier.
-
Everyone will have to come to Scarborough- free parking in all council car parks and on street parking. When I moved here 20 years ago my accountant was a biker and told me. It hasn't changed yet.

Bikes banned from station car park. https://www.thescarboroughnews.co.uk/news/people/group-threatens-peaceful-protest-as-whitby-railway-station-car-park-bans-motorcyclists-4436460

Turning my head to one side works for me. Maybe the aerodynamics are different? Different bike for example. Only works at a decent speed.

Parking in York City Centre/Train Station free.?
keith1200rs replied to shrawansree's topic in General Chat
Have a look here https://www.york.gov.uk/MotorcycleMopedParking The train station isn't really the centre. I usually park on Picadilly but that is so I can look at Infinity Motorcycles. -
Didn't Suzuki make a 200cc VanVan? Not sure of its size though.

I don't find my Tech-Air 5 a problem except when the temperature is above 30C. It adds a layer but just means I leave another layer off. In this weather I have quilted liner, airbag, Goretex jacket and it's fine. I haven't bounced down the road (ever) to find out how it works with/without an airbag.

I would suggest you contact Shoei about your problems. I've had my Neotec 2 for 5 years with no problems. You need to snap the visor fully down in the rain, not just "closed"

Life saver neck mobility on a sports bike
keith1200rs replied to Interference Fit's topic in Motorbike Chat
I think the important thing is you are checking your blind spot, not replacing your mirrors. As @Gerontioussays, you need to know where you are checking. -
I had the same problem with Scotch. Japanese whisky seems ok and so does Bourbon or Rye whiskey.

I'm still no wiser and I don't suppose the original poster is either.

I'm confused. What has all this got to do with "born again bikers"?
-
It does seem cheap. In 1976 I bought a Kawasaki KH100 for £285 and that was with a bit of discount - list price was over £300

Try the Nikka one £40ish https://www.masterofmalt.com/whiskies/nikka/nikka-whisky-from-the-barrel-whisky/
-
By the way, I would suggest Masters of Malt online rather than Amazon for buying whisky (or almost any spirits). Massive range including some silly prices. They also do tasting bottles, packs of 5 or an advent callendar of 24 to try.

Hibiki Harmony, Nikka by the barrel, Yamazaki Single malt (or 12 year old if you're feeling wealthy).

The Tech-Air 5 states that it has been tested with a 6kg backpack. In don't understand the concerns about having to send it back to be inspected and recharged - by the time I have the bike repaired and I am fit to ride again I will have it back.
