  1. Nice to see our little band of peeps last night - shame I had to dash off, but hey, QB is right, it was heaving there. And who was it in that Woppyflopter? The only attendee that the Fuzz couldn't do for speeding or having small plates
  2. Sad to report that Mrs Sheepy and myself will have to pull out of this weekend. She probably won't thank me for saying it, but she's going into hospital for a fairly large-type operation on Monday and we'll be spending time with her tribe at home over the weekend.
  3. Likewise (all being well), plumber is round this afternoon (I hope) so if he's all done and dusted, will be wending my merry way MFN-wards as soon as I can!
  4. You mean you can stretch your lips three feet? I am impressed!
  5. Me and Mrs Sheeps will be at Thundersprint Bex. Otherwise we'd have been there paaaaaartaaaying away!
  6. Just wondering who is up for a get-together over at Shipley Gate next week? Due to other commitments, we can't get this Wednesday (plus it'll be widdling it down if the weathermen are right), so I thought next week would be good. Any takers?
  7. Looks like me and Mrs Sheepy will be there from the Saturday and staying overnight somewhere (probably camping).
  8. Well, Bex and I bumped into one another (and respective partners) last night at MFN. The place is starting to get pretty busy as the nights draw out, they've made some improvements to the place and it's looking gooood!
  9. Damn, I never realised it was THAT Mal who'd been done! Crying shame though, some of the live music nights at MFN have been fantastic! Bugger!
  10. She just doesn't like peeps behind her gawping at her 'arris!
  11. I'll be on my bike and Mrs Sheepy will be in her cage (purely because she likes camping in a gert big tent and not my ickle bike-carried one!)
  12. Looking good then Willow! If you need a hand organising stuff, gis a shout! I'm on nodding terms with Mal and Lee over at MFN, so we might be able to source some stuff from their contacts too, who knows?
  13. Pub Quiz? I can do one of those for you, no problem! Oh, and Mrs Sheepy's oldest lad plays in a band too, maybe they'll be interested in performing? They've got a couple of gigs at the Vic Inn in Derby, and believe me when they don't let any old cack play there, so they must be reasonably good at the very least (will let you know once I hear them, which will be soon). MFN is a good location, of course! I toook Mrs Sheepy there last night and they've made a nice job of a huge decked area outside the bar (on the left as you come out of the building, where the pop trailer used to sit). It looks like Mal (the owner) is really pushing the place along nicely. I'll also ask around the Bike suppliers and shops in Derby / Notts area to see if there's any interest in attending. I know that Titanium Racing on London Road have a mobile-ish stall for events, so there's a possibility. Oh, and if anyone else is interested, tickets are still available for the MotoGP weekend shindig there!
  14. Got a couple of potential newbie members interested in getting to this one too. Fingers crossed they're joining the forum as well, I'll be doing some arm twisting over the next day or so. Lee at MFN is keeping a couple of tickets back for me (I hope), if he don't, I'll scrag his R1
  15. Huge apologies but I need to abandon any hope of this one for the time being - moving flamin' house! Aaaargh!
  16. Agree wholeheartedly with Akey. MFN is a proper petrolheads place and well worth a visit. I might even be doing the MotoGP weekend there this year as finances will be tight after moving house, so camping and boozing on the cheap is well attractive! Just be careful of our friendly Derbyshire Plod hanging around the approach roads when you do go!
  17. Bike Rallies? WILLOW, here's a potential one for ours, if it happens!!!
  18. I gotta save my pennies hun, off to Philadelphia the week after!!! Whoo-hoo!
  19. Well, I can put some feelers out about Guest Houses (they're at a Premium that weekend on account of all the Goths that invade Whitby that weekend) but if we can get ideas of numbers, we should be able to get something - failing that, there's always the camping option, literally 100 yards from where I'll be kipping on me old Man's yacht! So come on, who's upfrit? Vickster, can you put a votey thing on here, with Yes, I can make it Friday to Sunday - camping Yes, I can make it Friday to Sunday - Guest House (I hope) Yes I can make it Saturday only Yes I can make it Sunday only No, I can't be bloody arsed!
  20. OK, here's a potential weekend for this ride. The weekend of the 26th and 27th of April 2008, when Whitby will be hosting the twice-annual Goth weekend. This means there's loads of live bands playing all over the place (Pubs, Spa Theatre and the Metropole Ballroom), all sorts of stuff going off. Obviously it'd depend on numbers going as if you fancy making a weekend of it and getting to some of the gigs (you never know they might be good'uns) but if you do fancy that weekend, I can try to co-ordinate some B&B's or, if you're in luck, there might be a holiday home or two available at a cost. I may even be able to put a couple of peepsies up on the boat. Let me know anyway! Sheepy
  21. there's a Travel Lodge close by: http://www.travelodge.co.uk/find_a_hote ... tel_id=290 £60-00 for the Saturday night 8th December for 2 adults or the Premier Travel Inn http://www.premierinn.com/pti/makeBooki ... sId=NOTMTI £56-00 for same night for 2 adults (twin room) The one behind my office has no twin rooms available for the 8th Dec (it's my Office Party that night, so no surprises there, my company has probably booked it solid)
  22. Yep, it's the racing at Olivers' Mount Trubbs! Whitby is busy because it's a great place to get to and to be in!
