  1. First set up the sag properly, you want about 30mm at the front and 20mm back If you weigh more than 12 stone you really need to fit new springs The standard settings on the fs are nearly max hard and they are still to soft. Check and make sure no one has changed the settings standard settings are: FRONT preload 4 rings showing compression 1 1/4 turns out rebound 1 3/4 turns out REAR Preload 2 compression 1 1/2 rebound 1 1/2 ALWAYS start with the adjusters fully turned in before making adjustments push down on the bike, chances are its slow to return and may even bob up and down a few times, this needs dialling out by adding more rebound. Then you'll need to go for a ride and tweak the compression. I ended up going to MCT and had linear springs and 15w oil fitted in the forks and it made a huge difference. EDIT: ive added a little suspension guide that should help you out Suspension_Education_Program.pdf
  2. Why do you think you need leathers? I'd rather be wearing waterproof textiles in scotland tbh
  3. Have fun guys, im not jealous at all
  4. Id have got some dirty oil off my chain and wrote the number on the side of my bike if i hadnt got my number or anywhere to get pen an paper.
  5. cant wait till the 16th, my team needs a serious reshuffle
  6. My avg was tight when i bought it, 2 years later and i can now twist it left and right without moving my head. they is also loads of other things about it which i hate and it wasnt cheap at £230. I now have a shoei which is awesome. I would get whichever is the best fitting, you say the arai is a little tighter so i would go with that as the foam will give way. Plus i think its the better looking out of the 2.

  9. Before the start of the game at 04:00 GMT on Saturday, 25 February (the WSB Superpole session in Australia), team changes are unlimited. After this time, team changes can only be made during the final five days of each Game Round*. Team managers can only make a maximum of three rider changes per Game Round. These transfer windows are outlined below: 16 April to 20 April (inclusive) 14 May to 18 May (inclusive) 11 June to 15 June (inclusive) 09 July to 13 July (inclusive) 06 August to 17 August* (inclusive) 28 August to 07 September* (inclusive) 01 October to 05 October (inclusive) * As there are no MotoGP, WSB or BSB races in the final week of the Game Round, these transfer windows have been extended accordingly. Rider changes made during these transfer windows will be implemented immediately and will therefore take effect for the next race weekend. To make changes, click on the TEAM CHANGES button on your team screen and follow the simple on-screen instructions from there. You must still ensure that your selections remain within the allocated £10m budget and that you always have two riders from each classification. Remember to check out Big Ed’s top tips on Facebook and Twitter around the transfer window for the latest insight on the racing so far and Big Ed’s recommended rising star riders!

  12. I had my suspension sorted by MCT in stowmarket yesterday so thought id make a little detour and grab Snetterton. It was dead there apart from some old boy digging away at a bit of loose tarmac.
  13. Mine needed alot more packing than that it did make a huge improvement though.
  14. Pack the cush rubbers with tin or rubber to take up the slop, makes alot of difference. Also turn the pilot screws out 2.5 turns and drill a 1" hole in the airbox. (Google gpz500 fog mod for more info.) You'll get much smoother throttle response. Also sign up to ex500.com
  15. £51.99 WTF! I'd just swivel it on the side stand or make a turntable set in the floor.
  16. -30 points for cheating
  17. I think its a great idea to do the theory before you get out on the roads.
  18. I was out from 11am to 4pm yesterday. I took a long ride over to Huntingdon from Leicestershire and then worked my way down to the other tags. I'd have liked to meet up to say hi but i dont think i could have managed any more tags as i was getting cold and tired, i did manage about 220 miles tho. My tags are starting to get hundreds of miles away now.

  22. http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b136/escapedmonk/serviceintivals.png If you want the full workshop manual let me know and i'll upload it for you. Valves are checked at 16K, if they need to be adjusted expect 2-3 hours labour charge as well as £5 per shim thats replaced, there are 16 shims that may need to be replaced but usually some can be swapped around.
  23. Thanks TC. I had a good ride out today and found some nice roads altho i did get lost at one point and ended up riding around in circles. Covered 150 miles in total. Not bad for a sunday afternoon.
