  1. I've always been told its 80% front brake 20% rear, unless the road is damp/wet where it moves towards 50/50. In an emergency situation your back brake hardly gets used at all as the rear wheel is nearly off the ground so little braking force can be put through the tyre without locking up....

  2. deisel engines work because of the deisel effect. this is when a fuel ignites because of pressure and heat. petrol engines rely on a spark to ignite the fuel.

deisel fuel has a low octane by design so that it will burn in a deisel engine. petrol has a much higher octane so you can control the ignition.

the higher the octane of the fuel, the higher the resistance to the deisel effect. this means you can control exactly when the spark ignites the fuel; so you can tune the ignition retard/advance for power etc.

putting deisel in a petrol engine means that it will ignite, but not precisely when you want it to. it'll pre-ignite, hence very rough running, low power. and it will smoke like a bast*rd.

putting higher octane petrol into a diesel engine means that the fuel will resist the ignition(based on pressure, not spark) and the engine will not run.

neither is desirable for your engine. both will need draining. neither will do much damage as you cant run the engine properly so the potential damage is limited.

deisel engines are more complex to drain as you will need drain it completely and then have the deisel fuel system primed.

You know all of that.. but not how to spell diesel

  3. great little bikes!, my gf has one :D

Bike has no centre stand, and the engine won't start while the side stand is down.

my gf's starts with the side stand down :?

I can say with 100% certainty that mine doesn't start with the side stand down, clutch or no clutch. Perhaps the design has been revised recently?

    You sure its in neutral?

  4. I'd like to see a few rule changes in rugby.

They should allow the forward pass, which would make the game flow a little more. And perhaps use a round ball which would be easier to control. Then stop players from using their hands, it would make the game more skilful if they had to control the ball with only their feet. And it's ridiculously easy to score at the moment with players allowed to carry the ball over the touchline or kick it through those high posts, so why not just have smaller goals which the ball must go into for a point. They could have nets at the back so there would be no doubt as to whether the ball went in or not.

And I'm sure everyone would agree that cutting the number of players to 11 a side would make the game a lot faster too.

Yeah and all the players should fall over and role around on the floor like they have been shot when somebody touches there hair. That would improve it.
