  1. The collector box is the piece where the four pipes join together and join to the link pipe and eventually the silencer. The collector is usually the part where the exhaust fails and I've replaced a few for people with chromed mild steel ones, that turn to rust and fall apart. You should be OK with stainless as long as the welding is adequate. Got any links or pix of what you are thinking of buying?
  2. Cheers mate and don't forget to measure the I/D of the silencer???
  3. I know it,s a pain mate, but could you bolt the header and silencer on the bike , so that I can see if I need to angle the extension piece and by how much?,Will check my 40mm bore tubing later today.
  4. Right, I,d best get sewing then.!!!
  5. Is there a theme for fancy dress?
  6. No mate , probably two. I could do it in an hour, but a garage will charge you for two. Get a price for doing the whole job from the garage and then price up some bearings and a paddock stand?
  7. Should check each yellow wire to earth, about 60 to 70 volts on each phase. Output from reg/rec should be about 14.7 to 14.9 volts.
  8. RR4s to RR7s had alternator problems, some of which sorted under warranty, but you may be too late with an RR4. I'll ask my Blade guru and get back to ya. You may need to remind me later, I'm on nights
  9. Has it got a centre stand? If so put a jack under front end , but make sure it,s stable. Loosen bolts before jacking up. Remove wheel and drift bearing out through other bearing. Tap new bearing in using only outer race. Fit new dust seal outside bearing. Bearing comes with fitted seals.
  10. The part cost s a tenner, fit it yerself!!@$%&*?
  11. Any time mate, here to help.
  12. Do a Google search for em then???
  13. Don't buy from a Honda dealership, buy from eBay or Wemoto. Could have repaired that adjuster for ya, have you already paid for it. Doesn't look like Honda quality to me. Ask on here before shelling out cash
  14. Count your links and order a chain for your Make, model and year of bike. If chain pulls off that much, you probably need to replace sprockets at same time. The chain has probably destroyed the sprockets and It's cheaper to buy them with the chain. If you fit a new chain on old sprockets , your chain won't last as long. Could probably have repaired that adjuster rather than replacing it??? None of your pix show the teeth on the rear sprocket???
  15. I know it's broken off mate! I want to see the bit inside that it's broken off so you can fix it!!! Have you tried pulling the chain straight back off the rear sprocket as I said earlier??? You have PM
  16. Just read your first post on this thread Alex. I reckon that if you drop a motorbike and the chain "came off" then you have a major problem with the chain and sprockets, bit of a clue there mate
  17. What Numbers said, the longer the bar the more leverage. You won't shock it off with a hammer if it's been Loctited. I used a 4 foot long bar on a fron sprocket nut!!!
  18. Well, to me, the spindle is at the back of the adjuster slots , so you can't tighten the chain. Also the chain is knackered. Try pulling the chain off the rear sprocket, straight back with the middle link. If it lifts off more than 3mm, get new chain AND sprockets. The front is knackered too. You may be able to repair the adjuster. Can you do a clear, focussed pic of the broken adjuster???
  19. Pure strength mate. Use correct size , preferably hexagon, socket, with a long bar on the ratchet if you have to and lean on it. Probably been Loctited on . A strongarm is better than a ratchet, but I assume you haven't got one.
  20. The adjuster will pull the chain back as far as the closed end of the adjuster slot in the swingarm. If your chain won't tighten after that, it is either too long or knackered. Can you post some pix of both sides???
  21. When it doesn't start, does it turn over slowly. If it doesn't start at normal turnover speed, it could be a fuel or spark problem???
  22. Too much for me I'm afraid. May turn up to take pix though. Post a pic of your bike the day before and I'll search you out???
  23. I got upset with another Forum that insisted on publishing the race results before I got chance to watch the races. I don't mind discussing it as long as the results aren't in the thread title. I hate football, only watch motorsports and beach volleyball
  24. NO SPORT QUESTIONS , what about BSB, WSBK and Moto GP questions ???
