  1. Going to be about 2deg. at 8.00am rising to around 10 deg. mid day (according to BBC) but they are crap at weather forcasting. Never know how many layers to put on. Cold in the morning and sweating ya bloody go nads off by the afternoon. Roll on summer.
  2. Yep Roy, Peterborough. I`m going to the sailing club on the South shore. Not sure how to do it myselfe but google Rutland Sailing Club and it will give you directions. I`ll be going cross country (better roads) via. Elton, Wandsworth, Collyweston, Kempton and then onto North Luffenham and from there onto the sailing club. ETA there around 10.30ish. Its a good ride out I`ve done it quite a few times.
  3. Right gubba and anyone else. I need to go to Rutland to check on my windsurfing kit and the state of my trailer. If you want to join me I`ll be at the X services at 10.00am. Dave I`ll meet you at the mini roundabout (the one as you come off the A1 to go into sawtry) at 9.45am if that`s not too early.
  4. I`ll open another thread so as not to nick spunky`s

Snap, not really fussed myselfe but I normally go on the Sunday. If you`re after bargains, this is the last day so they may put the goods down.
  14. Its often said, leather for summer, textile for winter. However my old leather kit was good for both. Heavy duty, no vents and well made. I now have a textile jacket for winter and this works well but come the spring/summer the bulk of the textile jacket will be ditched for the flexibility of my leather jacket.
  15. ...... knowing my luck I may possibly will.
  16. Okeee Dokeee mate, I`m about most weekends, just leave a note or PM me.
  17. Very nice looking mate, bet it sounds great. Be good to see on the next ride out.
  18. Try and get on a run sooner then you`ll know the way in Summer
  19. What new can you got then Jive. ????? Picture please.
  20. From personal experience, I`d get all the kit, despite not knowing what bike your getting. You say money is not too much of a problem so whatever you buy will always be useful. Most kit can be worn an all types of bike, just don`t go for tassled leather stuff on a gixer, Before I took my test I had no boots, jacket, helmet or gloves anywhere near suitable for riding a bike. I went along to a local dealer and got some basic, but good (RST) kit, gloves £30, helmet £69, boots £89, jacket £199 and as I`d brought all this the guy chucks in the trousers as well. I felt a little safer as well, which boosted my confidence knowing I`d not leave a little bit of my skin on the road should I come off.
  21. A few of us met up with you last year. Only for the day though but it was a good laugh. So anyone thinking of just going for the Saturday or Sunday, why not post up with your intentions.
