  1. stop man, go take a cold shower or summat by the way pal, to help make up your mind, the chicks like bikers in leather, apparently
  2. Yep, I have seen the catalougue and yes you are soooo correct, wouldn`t mind getting tangled up in them long tresses. Anything I find out I`ll pass on. Think I`ll stick to me leather trousers though. I know textiles are tough, but the thought of sliding along the road on me aris with only a bit of cloth between me and the tarmac is frightening (to me anyway)
  3. Guy on Golden Balls had done 176 on his R1, but of course this was on a track......honest officer At that speed, me personally, would crap myselfe
  4. Anyone got one and if so how is it. Thinking of getting one for winter. I tried it on in the shop and was super warm and comfy, I would like any comments on durability. What with this and thinking of a new can, I`m going to have an expensive next few months. Thanks Neil
  5. No problems with RST as stated before. Several two piece designs to choose from as well. I`d recommend them.
  6. The pins on the visor should turn (well they do on my Arai) This has the effect of increasing/decreasing the gap between each pin, which in turn forces the insert onto the visor by decreasing the gap. Hope this is clear. If not try e-mailing Shoei for their advice. Hope you get it sorted as my pinlock system is the dogs danglies
  7. Now come on Roy, you know better than that . You recovered ????
  8. RST are pretty good, was my first set. Not gone down the road in them (and not wanting to) so cannot comment on what they are like in a crash. But durable, well made and reasonably cheap. Go to a store, try some sizes on, then check out flea-bay. That way you`ll know they fit, and no doubt get them cheaper. And sod what you look like, if you feel safe, get them
  9. Yep, you are right there mate, just had another look, showers Saturday and heavy rain Sunday. Oh well, pub it is. Gee Gee racing Saturday and a game of nine card brag on Sunday.
  10. I chat to myselfe on the bike, no need for intercoms. Normally phrases like fecking cager, do they put indicators on new cars, where`s ya flippin lights and move the feck over twohat. Do I sound like an angry rider ???????
  11. Get down the shops and try loads on. Choosing helmets, leathers, etc is entirely down to the individual. However, Dainese is a good make for leathers, Arai for helmets. I personally have Richa and RST leathers and an Arai helmet.
  12. Anyone up for a ride out this weekend, long range BBC forecast says 12 deg. and dry on Saturday so not looking too bad. Could do either day, Sat or Sun.
  13. You`re going to be well kitted out there mate, very sensible. good luck with the lessons
  14. Tom, I did think of them but with having to walk a fair bit in my bike boots, I wanted ones with a bit more sole and heel. The normal sidis wore out after just over a year.
  15. Opted for these in the end. Feel a bit bad as I had ordered the ones from another shop, but they were delayed in getting them in stock. Very comfy and tested on the pudsey run. Waterproof.
  16. ride safe mate, see you in about 53 hours
  17. Ride safe you guys, and have a non-eventful journey up to and down from Edinbororugh. Hope the weather holds. Not too much drinking tonight then
  18. There was a pudsey bear in St.Ives today. Their costume did not have a patch on Roy`s, it was cr*p. And gog don`t you mean arm ?????
  19. Full time transport, no access to a car for me. If you`d have asked me that 2.5 years ago I would have said never.
  20. Feckin fantastic Roy. Strike the pose baby.
  21. Of course Phil, should have know it would have all been planned.
  22. Exactly my situation. I will be wearing my reflective jacket on the pudsey run once it gets dark. Black leathers, black bike, black helmet. Not good to be seen during Black night.
  23. also useful if you`ve got the squits while on a long ride. I use leather with waterproof over trousers. Protection from abrasion and the wet. Done job.
