did an inline switch for my heated grips... if they are wired directly from the battery theres a chance they will drain slowly... couldn't be arsed with figuring out how to wire them into an ignition relay... so just used a simple inline switch

buy the stands one at a time... £30 ones do the job just fine.

also I bought the smaller Halfords pro socket set, which covers most job, then got a separate bit which converts the drive size, and buy each bigger socket as and when I need it.... doesn't break the bank in one go, but over time you end up with everything you need, and good quality stuff

and I have a pair of reasonably cheap paddock stands... but they do the job just fine...as long as you don't mind doing up the bolts every now and then...next item on the wish list is definitely an abba stand though

my personal choice would be renthal sprockets, and tsubaki chain, but DID is also a very good make.

torque wrench and socket set , I would go with Halfords pro range.

paid stupidly lots for my torque wrench, but its made a world of difference to what jobs I can actually manage... and my favourite has to be my extendable breaker bar...absolute lifesaver

always worn full leathers, even on my 125.

personally im not a fan of textiles , as I find them cumbersome and uncomfortable, and the ones ive tried are bloody useless in the rain anyway... and still needed waterproofs over, so I stick with leathers and chuck waterproofs on top if its chucking it down

2 completely different animals I would have thought... my cbr is a very hard ride, whereas ohjays vfr is like a bouncy castle in comparison.

if its a complete replacement system, have a look at sandys bike spares, just got the stainless system for my cbr from them for 179 ( without end can ) I think you can get end can to go with for about 100ish.

lol, just watched the video...that's hilarious...mostly cos that's exactly me on the R6.... only thing missing is the scenario where the legs aren't quite long enough to kick the stand down properly on a camber, and it keeps springing back up...necessitating shouting loudly at some passer by to come kick it down for you.....hehehe... funniest looks me and ohjay ever got were at squires... on a particularly busy hot day, when the flat spots in the carpark were full....he knows if I don't move once we've stopped , that means I cant get the stand down... so I sit patiently while he walks over and kicks it down for me....... the faces of the guys nearby were priceless
