DRIVING TEST?
Please please edit all instances of the word DRIVING to RIDING. Haha!
ffs really??
clearly not the owner of either certificate, as it clearly states PRACTICAL DRIVING TEST
at the top of both MOTORCYCLE pass certs.

aww, unlucky...dont give up...get back out there and do it again....just remember its all brilliant practise

I'm in Epsom and we will be travelling up on the Friday also
Not sure what time we'll be setting off yet
IF I take my bike, the plan is to transport it up as the missus won't go pillion due to me chucking her off a couple of times
I have it in mind to hire a van
If I decide not to take the bike we will be going by car
If you aren't in a hurry to get there, more than happy to travel up with you
why dont you ride and she bring the car ??
-
tip would be start saving now...have you seen the price of the bloody ferry tickets
-
Looking at a kwak 636 ninja always been on my list and insurance seems good too !
Really? Every bike I looked at that was classed as a proper 'sports' bike they wanted at least 60% of the value of the bike as first years premium! Can't wait to get my first years no claims and go crazy
shop around more...i insured my R6 without any no claims, after quotes that ranged from a ridiculous 1000, right down to the 260 that i ended up paying
-
If i do come it will be on a 125 though is that a problem?
as i will be on a 125 i won't be able to camp, so is it possible to nip up on Saturday? (i will still pay of course the full amount)
I went camping several times in my younger days with my girlfriend at the time......so 2-up with camping gear and a weeks worth of clothes......on a Honda 175.....and tents weren't as light as they are now.....
125's are always welcome.......in fact last year there was a rideout that was specifically aimed at riders with 125's.....with a mixture of other bikes thrown in too......it worked really well and I think everone really enjoyed it.....
Alright! i'll see what i can do, and try get ahold of a top box/camping gear!
handful of bungees does the trick
-
of course you can fit camping gear on a 125...lots do , it really isnt that hard.
stu, planning on paying mine and chiras tickets this week ( finally) , but looks like shes walking , as the sr seems to be beyond dead at the moment
-
fank you
sounds simple enough even for me
-
literally
...see ya there guys xx ( and obviously didnt mean the stupid bit )
-
thats exactly the way i go, usually a43 past silverstone then m1
-
might well work for me, i'll be travelling home from reading on the bike anyway, will have to have a glance at a map
-
think i'll give it a miss...with scotland next weekend , fuel tokens are in short supply...will stick to a local run if its nice
-
mmmm, did the honey ice cream shop on the thundercat wales trip last summer...in glorious sunshine....had almost forgotten what thats like
-
was thinking more of a meeting point further down your route so i could possibly cut across and join you
-
might be tempted if i get the r666 running right by then, more details??? meeting points, timings etc ??
-
That's great news
I'll be on my 125 by then and hoping to get down there
If I can't drink I'll just stick to J20 and meet others
It'll be my first long journey so hoping to find a few people to lead the way
you wouldnt be the first youngster to have a few at a rally, but like the others said, best to bring your own, not put the publicans in that position
-
bike safe is a one off , ( well one at a time anyway, ive done it but have another booked for this year)
performance plus is also very useful...no idea about the insurance aspect, for me its about improving as a rider...if theres an insursnce benefit then thats a bonus.
havnt got round to IAM yet but hear very good things and fully intend to do that at some point
-
just to remove any confusion, i dont run it with the standard can on thats in the pic below ( that was to appease the guy with the noise meter at cadwell )
i run it with a twin exit blue flame race exhaust
...no idea if that makes a difference, but it sounds damned good
-
i can get from here to my mates in essex ( roughly 144 miles) , steady motorway mileage...cant possibly post at what speed on here for obvious reasons
the light is usually just coming on when i get there, and i rarely need to put more than 16-18 quid in to refill.
i think when doing higher revving , more spirited riding that can drop quite dramatically, never really clocked it tbh.
oh and mines an old 2000 model, carb rather than injected..so im told
( OK IM A GIRLY , DONT EXPECT ME TO KNOW MUCH
)
-
no problem removing the battery from mine , and it has a datatool alarm.
buy an optimate or similar??
tbh , mine only ran the battery down when i left it for close to 3 months without remembering to turn it over
-
thats the guys i did my cbt with, nice bunch of lads
, nice little shop too, and always friendly and helpful
-
moo...bikesafe isnt training as such, its an assessment of your riding, and some hazard awareness briefing.
probably more useful for full licence holders who have been riding a while to reassess their riding , and gain feedback
-
base layers underneath Moo, and a good rainproof/windproof layer over the leather
-
good luck with your cbt...if you want to learn to ride properly, get proper lessons...trying to learn from you tube videos is a disaster waiting to happen,( search Bikermoofrommars posts
)
