  1. + another for renthals - good quality bars. I'm converting the S4 from clip-ons to ultra-low on Oberon angled risers - may need to get a longer clutch cable but you won't have that problem as you're reducing the height - may need to re-route or tie-wrap to make sure cables don't rub due to any extra slack. Bar-end mirrors would look nice too You could think about M-bars or ace bars for a more extreme change - think this could be a bit drastic though
  2. Us as long as we get back from work on time!
  3. I have cheap Red Route ones. They aren't a patch on better quality jeans and have gone a bit baggy in the waist. They do have knee armour in addition to the kevlar lining. Bob's Hood jeans have knee and hip armour. Makes them a bit hotter but a good idea. There's a wider choice in men's jeans if you can get away with the fit. I can't unfortunately.
  4. Think its unlikely, I couldn't get a discount for a new bicycle wheel and inner tubes. + another 1 for Vango
  5. Just realised this is tomorrow! Definitely worth a visit as it is usually rammed with bikes www.roystonmotorcycleclub.co.uk/2014show Anyone up for this?
  6. Yeah, thought we might get wet but was a nice run back. Speed trap on the 1198 on the way back but it was a motorbike cop and didn' t seem very interested in bikers. Gave Bob a wave
  7. Nope, unless its a very wide road.
  8. Glad you had a good time - we didn't go to the Ace in the end but weren't really early enough for a ride up to Hunny I fancied a bimble on the Speed Four before I customise the bars so we ended up doing a local circuit - twisty roads down to Sandy, over to Willington (Danish Camp for a cake) and back round to Perry. Great ride, nice to get some use out of my vented bike jacket.
  9. I'd agree about the fairing, particularly the lip - makes it look unbalanced. Otherwise.....I'd ride it.......
  10. Fields of Gold - Sting
  11. I am the Urban Spaceman - Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band
  12. It's a Cryin' Shame - Etta James
  13. Mr. Blue Sky - ELO
  14. + 1 on the chain tension as the gear change was OK before and is now causing problems. From experience, just a small adjustment to my chain makes a big difference to the tension as does on/off the centre stand and with my lardy @rse on board. Get someone to check the tension with you sat on the bike
  15. Girls Just Wanna have Fun - Cyndi Lauper
  16. Good Girls go to Heaven (Bad girls go everywhere) - Meatloaf
  17. Red Red Wine - UB40
  18. Third Stone from the Sun - Jimi Hendrix

  20. They KNOW when you're going to sell them
  21. Get someone to check the chain tension when you are sitting on it.
  22. Seems a bit too early to be giving up to me too. Sounds like its the Mod 1 exercises more than the riding thats putting her off and they can take time and a few spills to master. Thats why riding school bikes have engine crash bars after all. If the cost difference isn't much then it'd be worth her learning on their bike - less worry about binning it which could take off some of the pressure.
  23. Yeah, spotted him though so no worries. Don't think we want to put what we've learned into practice if we can avoid it! Really good course - highly recommended. I was looking in the tool stands at the BMF for those multipurpose scissors (£2.95) but I couldn't see any
  24. Anyone going? Looks like the weather may improve at the weekend so we will be camping (if Tango gets back from Scotland in time) We only really go for the craic - real ale bar, music and general bikeyness - although I may do some shopping
  25. Sounds like we found more of the weather than you, Terry. At one point my lid was steaming up so I had to crack it open a bit - then I ended up with rain both sides of my visor - wind blast later dried it out pretty quick. The kit kept all the wet out apart from my Sidis. Bike is now filthy - will get it cleaned up before BMF next weekend. Good to see everyone - shame the weather wasn't better but a reasonable turnout considering
