  1. Probably answered your own question or maybe he just borrowed it to get a pint of milk
  2. Heart of Glass - Blondie
  3. Happy Birthday Al
  4. Better sort out some fancy dress then
  5. This event run by MCN is new this year, taken over from BMF. The BMF was generally good for stuff although was getting smaller each year. This is an unknown quanity and has been arranged a bit last minute. I've just been on the website and its changed yet again. Camping back on with Saturday night entertainment. They want £50 for it though Much more expensive than BMF I'll wait this year, see what the feedback is and think about it next year.......perhaps
  6. Too expensive and hasn't seemed from the website that they know what they're doing. We mainly went to the BMF for the camping and evening beer and music but MCN only reluctantly offered camping which sold out really quickly. It's a shame because I'm after some bargain leather trousers but they'd have to be a real bargain to justify £25 entry (so £50 for the two of us)
  7. I've always been told not to rely on the oil light on a bike as you could probably get away with in a car as it is oil pressure not oil level. Basically if your oil light comes on then its possible the damage is already done - sorry
  8. I thought he was a coroner ..........no possibly not
  9. A lot of people do DAS on some sort of intensive package including CBT, practise then MOD1, more road practice then MOD2. Theory must be completed before taking tests.
  10. Would recommend boots with better shin protection I have Sidi Black Rains Take your time choosing a helmet. It doesn't matter how good it is if it doesn't fit properly. Different makes fit different shaped heads better/worse and one make's 'medium' could be equivalent to another's 'large'. I wouldn't recommend buying online unless you've already tried on that make/model. Can't have too many bike clothes! vented jackets, leather, textile, armoured kevlar jeans.......the list is endless
  11. It was a good turnout today - probably twice as big as last year. Quite a few other bikes at Hunstanton too because the weather was good
  12. Breakfasts are pretty good in the pub......and HUGE
  13. You can still book online, they just can't post them out anymore but you can pick it up when you get there. May save a bit of time
  14. Correction. Bob has booked ours but we still need to pick them up when we get there
  15. 8.45 at the Marina? Bob reminded me that it took a fair while to get over there last year and we haven't booked wrist bands in advance this year
  16. My fault - miserable and windy. So was the weather
  17. Not to mention the NHS.....
  18. I think you have to be resident for 6 months http://www.passdrivingtestineurope.co.uk/
  19. Είναι όλα τα ελληνικά μου
  20. http://www.ashleymartinmemorialrideout. ... y2015.html Anyone else up for this? Meeting at Spicers IQ Cambridge Research Park, Waterbeach just off the A10 at 9am for a run up to Hunstanton. In aid of Magpas. There was around 120 bikes last year and a well organised event. If there's a few of us locally we can arrange a run to the start.
  21. I fitted bar ends on the Speed Four. Oberon do a variety of different styles and they are good quality. They take a bit of getting used to but they have a good field of view. I have round, adjustable ones. http://www.oberon-performance.co.uk/aca ... rrors.html
  22. Yep, didn't go up there tonight though as Bob was going out and I didn't want to be Billy Nomates
  23. Never seen a emoticon next to MFK BEFORE Yep, we are taking a non motorway route to the rally
  24. I like the look of that!
  25. Do what suits you. Like learning to drive a car it takes experience and that only comes AFTER you get your licence. You never stop learning IMO and there's always room for improvement. If you ride for fun and don't ride much in the Winter then every Spring is a bit of a new learning curve as you get back into it. You will need to do some sort of DAS if you want to ride anyrhing bigger than a 125 but most good Schools are flexible about the learning process.
