  1. Bimble is good.....no one is under any illusions that there's gonna be extreme knee-down action.......nice gentle potter around the few decent roads around here......which they have hopefully not top-dressed in the meantime......
  2. Congrats Chira.....onwards to MOD2......
  3. Tango

    Honda varadero 125

Sounds like your workmate is a prime candidate for "nob of the day"....... Where abouts are you.....there may be someone off the Forum nearby that has some long nosed pliers or Spencer-Wells that could have a go at fishing it out for you..... Otherwise it could be Stu's suggestion of removing the sump pan if it has one.....
  4. Nice one Fozzie.......in the market for a Blackbird now then mate?......
  5. A few of us made the run up to Papworth as well: L/R - Bonniebird's Daughter, Bonniebird, Rant Machine, YorBandit, acemastr
  6. Hopefully that vacuum pipe has sorted the cutting out problem.......good luck with the oil leak......
  7. What a beautiful plane with the fabulous noise of the Rolls Royce Merlin at full chat....mmmmmm He was just taking off.....so was giving it the full beans......the whole car shook as he went over.......and I nearly sh*t myself.....
  8. Lame excuse Moo........even lamer than Terry's man flu....... Looks like all the Triumph vented jackets have gone Moo.......not suprised with this weather.....
  9. The pipe you are talking about is the vacuum pipe for the fuel tap.....ift that pipe is kinked it'll shut the fuel off......
  10. Cr*ppy idle jet(s)......main jets OK though.....
  11. Tank breather?.......could you be getting a vacuum forming in the tank when you cane it a bit.....either that or a dodgy fuel filter with restricted flow......
  12. Not today but towards the end of last week....nob of the day went to the idiot that flew his P51 Mustang a few feet above my car as I went past Duxford.....frightened the f*ckin life out of me......
  13. You're welcome to borrow my optimate until you can get sorted Steve....let me know and I'll get it up to you......
  14. Should be on an installation in Kettering this week....so all being well we'll be down the Marina......it's looking SCORCHIO.....
  15. Todays nomination goes to the driver of the Yellow Porsche 911.....who waved me past on the Kimbolton to Higham Ferrers road......and then wanted a race.......proceded to tailgate me then drop back and come racing up behind me again......this road is notorious for its Police prescence.....especially on a sunny Sunday afternoon...... Book a track day mate!!......
  16. Welcome to the Forum mate.......head across to the Newbies section and introduce yourself to the rest of the TMBF crew..... Sounds like an electrical issue.....is the battery OK......and is the charging circuit OK.......low voltage in the ignition circuit can cause poor running at higher revs.... Also check all the earthing points as corrosion around any of the earthing, especially around the engine can give you all sorts of weird electrical issues....
  17. Neil (NMan1) has been there.....so he can probably answer your question....
  18. Yeah....been watching this thread....but Mandy isn't feeling too good at the moment.....so I think it's unlikely we'll be able to get along to this......but if she has a miraculous recovery overnight we'll be down the Marina by 10:00.....
  19. The only thing I wouldn't buy 2nd hand is a Lid......otherwise it's a good way to get decent kit for a lot less than buying new......
  20. Welcome to the Forum mate....... Maybe go to the Newbies section and introduce yourself to the rest of the guys on TMBF..... I bought some Sidi Black Rain Evo boots a couple of years back......guy had bought them but were the wrong size for him.....so I got those for £100....which is a bit cheaper than buying in the shops or online.....but they were brand new.....so I was well pleased.....good boots too......
  21. OK.....so it sounds like your clutch is fairly well adjusted.....so it may be just the clutch getting hot from a lot of use and not enough airflow over the bike to cool it..... See how it goes when you get out on the open road.....
  22. If there's too much play in the clutch lever the clutch will drag.....which will make gear changes harder....particularly if you've not got the room to get the speed and revs right for changing..... Try tightening the clutch cable a bit and see how that goes......you only need a few mm play in the lever....but if you take it too far you could end up with the clutch slipping......so, just keep a little amount of play in the lever.....
  23. Just check how much free play you have at the lever......if the cable is too loose the clutch won't disengage fully and drag....making it difficult to find neutral......

    Alarm problems

Yeah....I've heard of several places where the bike or car remotes won't work.....often near large transmitters, etc.......
