  1. thought as much, was too busy to fire up google and look myself edit: I meant to put lazy not busy
  2. out of curiosity can you actually ride a bike abroad with only a provisional license?
  3. when I used to work at a petrol station I was asked by a visiting hr person what I should do in the event of a fire. apparently run like hell was not the correct answer but I still maintain it is the best choice
  4. Result!! now add them to your blocked buyers list
  5. same here, let me know if there is anything I can do. As far as toilets go I'm surprised stu's tent/mansion doesnt have one built in
  6. I like to take the cable off bike completely and hang it up. I pour 3in1 oil in until it drips out the other end, a forum member told me about this and it works nicely
  7. there were cakes last year? I got a very nice cup of coffee but no cake did I have to donate paper money to qualify?
  8. and will you be providing a tea making service again Sue?
  9. didnt think you and Rach were coming? if you are I would like to hereby apologise for any comments about you liking Harleys or that the last person to do some of the bolts on my bike must of been a gorilla with a 3 foot scaffold bar
  10. Plus alligators like moos!!
  11. not often it happens for me, new bolt is getting a crap load of anti-seize on it
  12. if you really must have the engine running how about removing the chain guard and cleaning oiling from the top section of chain as that is moving away from the sharp pointy teeth
  13. sounds like you need to properly adjust the clutch lever and cable.
  14. dont need any help but feeling very happy as I have managed to remove a broken bolt without damage to the bike or myself and no snapped drill bits/easy outs. time for a celebratory cuppa then off to buy a replacement bolt Edit: forgot to say it was seized which was how it came to be broken so not just a case of broken head
  15. nothing wrong with regular castrol like stu says get four litres from asda for £12 according to google your bike only needs 1.2 litres so you could get one bottle of that and use it for both the flush and refill
  16. drain the oil out, stick some cheap oil in and run the bike up to temp then drain that, this should help flush out the magnatec. now just stick in some normal oil and go for a ride it should hopefully right itself before long. another thing you could do is take the clutch plates out, clean them off and leave them soaking overnight in oil before putting them back in.
  17. Bit late maybe but i use a paint brush to put oil on rather than a cloth, saves a lot of pain if the worst happens. of course though the proper thing to do is not have it running in gear :'( good news is i guarantee within 6-12 months someone else will be starting a new thread after doing the same thing and then it'll be your turn to make posts in bad taste!
  18. time to invest in a scott-oiler?
  19. castrol or castrol magnatec? the magnatec one has friction modifiers that dont play nice with bike clutches
  20. I dont have enough money to keep rennie in beer
  21. fffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff......................
  22. gin owes me a new keyboard
