gorgeous Country, going up that way in August for a weeks holiday, without a bike though will be top of the list of places to tour once I have my big boys bike (and license) went on the Bealach na Ba road by Applecross last year and would of killed to be on a bike!

if you have an iphone or android smartphone you can use googlemaps, buy a waterproof holder off ebay for a tenner and voila! not sure about carrying things yet, will have to get creative with the bungee straps

yes you can, stupid as it seems. if you haven't done a cbt yet though get it done on a geared. at least you will then have had some proper instruction on the kind of bike you intend to ride. that's just my opinion of course
