    new tools

I find myself popping down to halfrauds to buy the bits I need to do a specific job. it lessens the blow of a major purchase. that said, I do end up going to halfrauds a lot!

    Fuel

i'd say drain in from the carbs at the very least. there are all sorts of additives in unleaded fuel that cause it to go off pretty quick. you can add a fuel stabaliser and use it in the kiddies pit bike in a couple of months or a lawn mower or something. syphon the fuel out of the fuel tank as best you can. for the carbs, there should be a drain at the bottom of the float bowl. undo that (make sure to catch the fuel dribbling out!) take the time while your bike's off road to do a good deep clean as well.
  4. i thought they were binning the 600cc requirement until further notice...
  5. who serviced the bike?
  6. there is a situation where this isn't true in crossgates - leeds and the (arguably more famous) hogarth roundabouts. the main road leads past 12 o'clock and to deliver a right turn signal would be a false indication of your intentions. hogarth roundabout http://goo.gl/maps/ICMeq x-gates - leeds http://goo.gl/maps/l8vZS edit: (i should have said, these are the exception, not the norm. Indeed these are the only 2 roundabouts where i could think this to be the case)
  7. try the small things first, if it still doesn't work after all that, it's the big things! i'd be tempted to say low voltage from the battery - doesn't have enough to turn the engine over. can you test if you're getting a spark at all? also what the voltage is. very similar set of symptoms happened to me and my old 125, it transpired it was the CDi unit.
  8. i personally think you're onto a winner here. looking forward to seeing some parts on ebay - or a nice new ride for £400!
  9. worrying if you do those and fail?!
  10. there are one or 2 good iPhone apps (may be some on android) that a friend of mine has used.
  11. the steyr aug combats this problem by allowing the shooter to choose which side to eject the shell.
  12. for my protective gear hein gericke leather jacket and trousers from ebay for £40 j&s gloves - £40 (new) rst boots - £70 (new) hjc lid - £140 (new) so all in all, fully set up for £290. the minimum you should be expecting to spend for protective clothing really is around £400 - but don't neglect it!
  13. I'm ambidextrous. I can write eff all with both hands!
  14. last i heard, a buyer for the business had been found and it was being saved. may need to do some googling though.
  15. i got a quote for oil seals at around £150, after buying all the parts and the tools to do it, it came around £140 mark. If you're going to be undertaking routine maintenance of yours and your mates bikes, DIY. or if you enjoy that stuff. if you're not really interested in home mechanic, leave it to the pros. it's not difficult, as with anything, it's a step by step process which will be outlined in your bikes Haynes manual.
  16. doesn't it say somewhere in the haynes manual that before attempting any task, you should read thoroughly the relevant section and understand it? mind you, that's coming from someone who has a haynes manual for a bit of light bedtime reading!
  17. maybe this is why the helmet was free - because at the factory, they mistook an order for foam with an order for razor blades.

    Indicator problem

you will need to change the relay
  19. I would think something better than ballot paper would be needed for that. soft strong and ultra absorbent?!
  20. Where can I get a balot paper ? depends if you're going to use said balot paper to mop up after thinking about scantily clad ladies delivering the news!
  21. || the gap between the 2 lines is my knowledge of 2 stroke engines. And all that's included therein is that 2 stroke engines smell bad! Sorry dude - I can't help!
  22. maybe i should be looking a little harder for a das course then. i nearly spent £300 more!

    USD fork seals

    plenty of guides on youtube.
  24. seems reasonable. where and when was this?
  25. I'm at the same stage. There's divided opinion about what your choices are. Some say that going for das straight after CBT means that you don't have any bad habits. However there are those that say practice is essential. Personally, im going right the way through without owning a 125 in between. i did buy a 125 with the intention of doing it up a bit, but ended up selling because i just want to ride! there are some that say they can't give you a clear price on a das course because they don't know your skill (and therefore don't know how many lessons you will need) then there are those that are charging around £800.
