  1. It's the reason I've not fitted them to my bike. One side I could afford to replace, but if it flips over a few times its an insurance job
  2. Nope, track fairings get scuffed up you stick some more stickers on them!! As you say, bungs could flip the bike and smash it to bits..
  3. I'll be jobless from mid February, so if i'm still out of work in April i may tag along... i wont be in a rush to get back into the working world...
  4. anyone tried calculating the shortest route between all points??
  5. Most go unreported.. If your bike drops off its stand and breaks the clutch lever, you're not likely to report it are you!

documentary on channel 4 at the moment about people who regret their tattoos.
  7. Have you tried pulling the relay out? On a simple car like a 106 its gonna be indicators or rear window heater or wipers etc.. I'd be tempted to try wiggling the indicator stick with the keys out to see if the noise changes or goes away..
  8. Make sure you include all of the expenses for the job in this years return thus lowering your taxable profit But you're really gonna do a job for a bloke with no money and wait till April to get paid?? Brave man...
  9. Put your foil hats on lads, here comes the conspiracy theories!! Its all health and safety rubbish. they are covering themselves as you're on a new bike that you're not familiar with so they explicitly tell you to ride it slowly... Also, it means that the bike gets older, and so further through its warranty period before its thrashed, leaving less time for the bike to break under warranty...
  10. I reckon filing your bars with expanding foam will help with the heat loss. Not sure but my heated grips appear to be speed related. It seems the faster I go the hotter they get. Could be my imagination though.. Anyone else heard of this?

Why you want it on the right wrist? I would think its more likely to be seen on the left wrist as that's the arm they test blood pressure and give injections...
  13. Not quite - there is a continuum of angles and if you think about it, you don't know the length of all three sides - because you don't know the radius of the third circle (which is what you are trying to find). Trying the cosine rule to form a set of simultaneous equations over which to integrate very quickly leads to nastiness! like this? http://www.mylnk.net/joeman/Circles.png So you know the angle at C1 and the length C1-C2. you also know r1 and r2.
  14. If im understanding the question correctly, it shouldn't be that bad... you know the length of all three sides of the triangle, so given the angle at C1 or C2 you can calculate the other two angles.
  15. whats the context of this anyway?? what crazy stuff are you upto?
  16. i reckon it will form a triangle with r1+r3 as one side, r2+r3 as the other, and the distance between C1 and C2 as the third side.
  17. No actual claim so nothing for him to declare when he uses a different insurance parasite next year, they can write what they like on a file, no claim paid out = 1 years NCB at the end. he would still need to declare the theft regardless of if there is a claim or not especially now the insurance have it on file and it will be on the database not telling the next insurance company could invalidate insurance and cause it to be cancelled Could always say it wasnt stolen, he just forgot where he parked it...
  18. At 17, is he old enough to enter a legal contract without perantal guidance? Just an idea but might be able to prove he wasnt old enough to understand and maybe get a refund?
  19. Anyone else still hanging?? So much for new years resolution. Sat here watching TV eating left over Halloween sweets!!

    DIY Carbon Fibre?

I dont think the pre-impregnated stuff is so bad. you can use a domestic hoover to suck the air out and stick it in your oven at home to bake.

    DIY Carbon Fibre?

many years ago when i was in college a mate of mine was into carbon fibre for his surfboards, so i had a little play back then. it wasn't difficult to make fairly flat shaped components like surfboard fins, but intricate curved shapes were tricky to get right. well worth a go
  22. could ask the same question about most articles on the DailyFail website First i knew about it was when the photographer sent us a link to the article. its good news for his business i guess.
  23. My Labrador has made it onto the DailyFail website... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... -toys.html Now that shes a z-list celeb i expect she'll be out partying, snogging footballers and rolling in drunk...
  24. There's no track/date set. Just looking for interest first. If people commented that there interested and a preferred track then we can either go with the most suggested or vote on the top three or something. If it's planned well in advance then people might be able to cut cost and van share ect. Even camp the night before and get the BBQ going. list of tracks http://nolimitstrackdays.com/uk-tracks.html looked on the map.. its only 110miles away. i could trailer the bike up there, ride it, and bring the remains back in the boot of the car...
  25. Would be if it were closer.
