  5. yep, there was a lot of crap there... reminded me of a load of cheap market stalls.
  6. Haggle in the shops and you'll get a better deal than ebay
  7. Just got home. Queued for an hour to get into the car park Paid 15quid to park Paid 20quid entry fee. The place was packed out - could hardly move for people. Had a good look about, loads of BMW adventure bikes. Was hoping there would be more biking gear for sale, but there was loads of cheap rubbish. I did end up buying richa waterproof jacket and trousers. Haggled an extra 10quid off the show price. Refused to pay seven quid for a hotdog!! Didnt bother sitting on any bikes. The new R1 looks like it's got a huge seat with bits missing.
  8. Currently queuing in the cage to get in.. Amazed how many bikes are queuing when there is a huge gap to filter down!!

  10. Simple solution. Kill all peados. that way you'll know anyone taking pictures of your kids is doing so innocently.
  11. well i quite like London. ive been working in the city for about 12 years and find it a great place to work. The fact that most people get a train in means everyone is up for a drink after work. I find the people in london are pretty friendly too - i often get talking to random people. Certainly a lot nicer place to work than Southampton where i grew up.... in Southampton, if you say the wrong thing to a stranger or look at his woman for a split second too long, you will get glassed!!!
  12. Funny shaped helmet you have there...
  13. Travel after 9:30 and its cheaper. Only book your to and from trains then use a contactless visa or oyster card to get around on the tubes/busses. You dont need a three day travel card!
  14. First couple of coats of paint need to be a watered down "mist coat" that will be sucked into the dry plaster before applying the final coats. Use a roller - the spray will go everywhere and if its one if those sprayers with their own paint cartridges you'll pay a fortune on paint.
  15. The RST boots didnt fit me. they felt too tight around the ankles, so i went for the Alpinestar S-MX6. very nice boots, very comfy.
  16. the missus says i should put them through the washing machine on a "cool, hand wash cycle"...... if only i knew how to work our washing machine.. its like a big lump of alien technology that i don't normally go near... Has anyone else put leather gloves through the machine?? people wash training shoes, so i guess gloves should be ok right?? i read the label, they are made from goat skin
  17. A great advert for RST gear... http://www.piclnk.net/joeman/Phil&Joe_RSTGear.jpg
  18. Can't you fit the ladder the other side?? Edit: guess it would stop the door opening... In which case move the number plate to the other side
  19. stuck the gloves in the sink and ran boiling water over them for a while. its only surface mould, but its still nasty looking!!!
  20. Well so far, Expansys are remaining silent. Not responded to my emails and not responding to my PayPal resolution case. I'm taking their refusal to communicate and comply with my statutory rights as "aggressive business practices" which leave them open to further claims for damages and out of pocket expenses... can you tell im bored at work??
  21. the principal is sound.... execution is shocking!!! but it keeps him off the streets which is good.
  22. I've got an ancient .177 that I inherited from my granddad and this is TOTALLY what I'm going to do once I've scraped the rust off it. I had a black widow catapult when I was a teenager and they are bloody lethal. A "friend of mine..." shot my other mate in the arse from some distance at about half stretch and the boy was dancing for at least 20 minutes. yes, i had a black-widow too... one occasion i can remember, we build a rope swing over a river, let one of my mates test it out. whilst he was swinging about we used him for target practice. his only escape was to jump off and go swimming... happy days (not for him). To this day he'll still talk about the day we used him for target practice...
  23. My summer gloves have gone mouldy!!!! http://piclnk.net/joeman/glove_mould.jpeg Wierdly, they were on the shelf next to my winter gloves. none of which have been used since November, and only the summer gloves went mouldy. maybe the summer gloves are more sweaty and better for mould?? all the rest of my gear is fine...thankfully!
  24. I got rid of my 200 litre tank a few months ago.. it sprung a leak and flooded the living room. we re-homed the fish and gave the leaky tank away on freecycle.. not missing it, and get to visit the fish sometimes!
  25. When living in the stick, an air riffle is an essential bit of kit! Regardless of it you shoot birds or not, they are great fun for target shooting in your own garden. We used to setup the red swan Vesta (non safety) matches and shoot them. Get it right and the burst into flames. Also if you load a few down the barrel you can have tracer fire to shoot in the dark!
