  1. it might be.. when the reality of riding one sets in you realise its the idea of riding bikes you like and not the actual riding.. but more likely you'll be hooked and then decide to allocate more funds than you initially intended towards a better bike than you intended to buy so, either way, the 200quid wont be wasted
  2. One theory from a guy at work is that he did it for tax reasons. He was looking for a way to leave the BBC as an employee for something that will blow over in a short space of time so that he can return as effectively a contractor being paid via a limited company structure to avoid tax... Give it a couple of month and if he's back on the BBC you can bet he's working via his own company and not an employee of the BBC.
  3. Im actually really bored of carbon fibre. It's been overused and I'm starting to think it looks like grannie's knitting!! It's time something new came along as carbon fiber is no longer "exotic" ..
  4. Collect dirt and water underneath to help corrosion destroy your bike in areas you can't see or clean.
  5. I love you Joe... But comments being offensive or not depending on a defining characteristic of the person their aimed at is Kind of the definition of prejudice. I get your comment about we should all aim to be equal where these comments have no effect anymore. But we're not there at the moment and so they Do still have meaning. Haha love you too gin! But I'm 100% sure the little lad isn't offended by being portrayed as a smartly dressed chimp so it's a case of everyone getting offended on his behalf... He has however managed three pretty good life achievements so far which none of us on here will ever achieve... NSFW..
  6. And if you look at a chimp wearing a suit and instantly make an association with black people that surely quite revealing about your own racial prejudices..
  7. But, was it racists?? Seems to me that had both parents been British and white, the picture would have been laughed off as a joke. Parents have been calling kids "little monkeys" for years. But because the mother is mixed race, everyone jumps on the "racist" bandwaggon... So it seems its only racist when one parent is mixed race, and it would be perfectly acceptable if both parents were white??? Thats about as far from "Racial Equality" as you can get, which surely means the Racists are the ones applying diffeernt rules to the same notion that "kids are monkeys" depending on the parents skin colour....
  8. Buy a ZX10. Plenty of power, less gear changes, power modes so you can dial it down a bit until you get back into the swing of things. Don't mess about with another 600 - You're all grown up now, you need a man's bike
  9. Get a bike you can grow into not the bike you will grow out of...
  10. After 2 years of time wasting, they decided he didn't breach and rules. What a complete farce. Seriously what were they doing for so long?? All they did was cause a highly trained officer not to be allowed to do his job for two years. Basically they made the criminals lives easier by having one less officer out trying to catch them. ">
  11. The modern way is small fire bombs dropped from a drone. Easy to torch old buildings like that with the fire up high where it's difficult to reach/control.
  12. Hi I went in to a Honda dealer and asked. I'll seenifni can contact Honda its self and see . The cost of the test is £175.00 and its the only place that TFL will listen to .. so if Like to know how my £175.00 is going to help the clean air bull .as the money will be paid to a private garage .. is the garage going to send the money to cleaner air environmental nut jobs NO didn't think so ... Do some digging and you'll find Khan or one of his currupt staff members have links to the garage that's doing the testing...
  13. Is the bike 9months old? If so, it's the dealership's problem not yours.
  14. Cheap hoverboard might work. Would allow the dalek to rotate on the spot too.
  15. Get a solar charger
  16. This is another VW emissions scandal waiting to happen. I reckon any bike could be tuned to pass the emissions test. It won't be very nice to ride, but so long as it's passes the test that's all the matters. So setup the bike/carbs just for the test, deliver it to the test center in a van, pass the test, van it home, re-tune to make it rideable. Two fingers up to khan and his idiotic tax on motorbikes.
  17. if its got an OBD2 port then buy a cheap OBD2 code reader and see what readings you get. lots of smoke and no power suggests too much fuel or not enough air so reading the boost pressure from the OBD2 port should allow you to identify/eliminate low boost pressure due to split hose etc.
  18. Trouble is it's very hard to measure how many crimes are not committed due to a security feature. Back in the day when police bothered to investigate bike theft I would think the prospect of having to remove every single little Datatag micro dot from your entire stash of stolen bike parts would have been a bit of a deterrent for the small time criminals. The police would only need to find one of the dots somewhere in your stollen parts collection to prove a link to a stollen bike. These days you're lucky if the police even bother to investigate bike thefts so the chance of bike thieves being raided and having the datatags discovered is far lower than it used to be.
  19. That's for jellyfish stings!! A hot bath and let your hands go all wrinkly helps to soak the fibre out.. works with loft insulation.
  20. Demand a refund. They will soon change their tune. They admit there is a problem but instead of fixing it are making excuses.
  21. The guys is blatently holding the front brake to make the wheel spin less. Then he shows how to grind away half your brake pads with a grinder to reduce drag. Then he shows the wheel spins far more freely with half the brake pads missing.. with his hand nowhere near the brake lever and the front axle not even tightened up yet. Clearly he's a fraud and the sweary bloke just drags it out to frustrate even more.
  22. Brock talking absolutely bullsh1t and this guy explaining why... ">
  23. What's sort of cheap arse, tin-pot, cowboy garage sells a bike with just three months MOT?? 6months is usually the minimum. But the garage screwed up. The sales receipt proves you paid for a bike with 12months MOT and that's not what you received. As I said before, give them one more chance to admit they were wrong and compensate you somehow before hitting them with a small claims court case for the full purchase price of the bike as you still haven't received the item you paid for - a bike with 12months MOT. Easy to start a small claims case, can all be done online and doesn't cost much.
  24. if the sale was supposed to include 12months MOT and it didn't then you have been mis-sold the bike. And if the dealer is trying to say that's your fault that they didn't fulfil their contractual obligation to provide 12months MOT, then give them one more chance to compensate you before going down the small claims route for the full purchase price of the bike. https://www.moneyadviceservice.org.uk/en/articles/your-rights-if-something-is-wrong-with-your-car#problems-with-cars-bought-from-dealers
