  1. Cancelling your indicators is the same a changing down to first gear - just bang it a few times to be sure. Then after the turn when you're settled into a bit of straight road, push the indicator again for good measure. Always thought it's stupid that the indicator light on the dash flashes because if you look down between flashes you get the wrong answer. It should be a solid light on the dash not a flashing light.
  2. Yeah premix some oil to be safe. Better too much oil than not enough. Check the rubber between the carb and cylinder. Could be spilt allowing it to suck more air.
  3. Smell the exhaust and make sure its smells like two stroke else you're running with no oil!! Great news it's running..
  4. All the wires are black.. situated deep inside the headlight and very difficult to access as the headlight can't be dismantled. Here's the broken wire.. I managed to soldered an extra bit of wire and saved myself over a grand for a new headlight
  5. 32 horse power , f**k me ! it hardly weighs anything . What market was this thing aimed at ? Cheers for the advice , have you owned one of these ? I had the previous model the Aprilia AF1 when I was 17. I took it apart many times. I regularly blew pistons
  6. I had the adaptive headlight fail on my Audi a few months ago. When the car was due an MOT I decided to fix it. Massive job. Front bumper off, headlight out, then had to perform keyhole surgery on the sealed headlight to fix the very thin broken wire. See if you can spot the broken wire..
  7. Middle isle is great but food choices are limited.. couldn't imagine doing a full food shop from Lidl or Aldi.
  8. Tesco's expensive?? Where do you shop??
  9. Don't be affraid of the rave valve. They are very simple. Cable operated valve that just raises the height of the exhaust port at certain RPM. To restrict the bike to 12bhp you can disconnect the power to the solenoid. With the solenoid connected and working you get about 32bhp. So even if it's not wired up you are fine to start the bike. Unless the sliding valve has slipped off the end of the cable and dropped into the cylinder.. but it won't turn over if that's happened .
  10. Get a bit of flexible clear plastic and glue a stick to it. Push the plastic through the hole and pull the stick to hold the plastic on the back of the hole. Glue the plastic in place before filling with silicone.
  11. Clear gorilla glue might work. Then mop with some very fine rubbing compound to take the dullness off. I've heard some people use toothpaste!
  12. Does look like two stroke oil in the petrol. Dip a finger in and rub it with your thumb. It will feel oily if it's got two stroke in.
  13. Sounds like it could have been a laugh.. Shout next time and lets see if we can get a ride sorted.
  14. Pull the plug pour in some oil, turn it over slowly. If nothing binds see if she starts.
  15. Yeah but the engine's going to be fossilized by now . If the chassis is still good, swap the engine out for something bigger and make a great project bike.
  16. Single exhaust on the left. It's a 125cc Rs125 two stroke I reckon. Lots of fun to be had with that!
  17. Buy on a credit card, let your credit card company deal with their law breaking fake returns policy. Or better still, don't buy from them in the first place..

    My new steed

Doubt you'll get 18k for it. 10k maybe if it's really good condition with some performance improvements. Guy I kno in southend sold a rotten one for 12k and that needed a full restoration Someone got mugged then. Look at the sold prices in eBay and current listings. You wont get 18k.

And it's a great story how they landed for fuel afterwards and were expecting to get arrested but instead got refueled and released.

My grandmother was a draftswoman for Hawker Siddeley. During the war and for a period afterwards. I often wondered which planes she helped draw the plans for. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hawker_Siddeley
  23. Why can't you ride super sports for much longer?
