  1. Still switching it off, never needed it before Never needed mine either, you won't know it's there until you brake so hard youre locking a wheel which if youre planning to turn it off you probably shouldn't be locking wheels.. I keep mine switched on because roads are not perfect and I'd rather have it switched on doing nothing 99% of the time. That 1% when it does kick in will just remind me roads are not perfect and to book a track day instead!
  2. yeah, but he has Pukka ABS!! so no need to have any awareness or foresight because no matter what happens, he'll be able to stop. Everyone of the cars pulling out in his video could have been predicted and avoided - no need for ABS.. Stupid EU making all bikes including learner bikes have to have ABS... its clear from posts like this that ABS just makes young, inexperienced riders feel more invincible and makes them feel invincible whilst riding like a dick.
  3. you're young, you will learn... its exactly the reason kids are not allowed to ride anything with a proper engine. Riding a 125 on L-plates like that certainly does make you look like a dick, and makes every car driver hate bikers just a little bit more... thanks! But we've all been there... Then we grew up, got proper bikes with real engines, and realised we dont have to ride like a dick to enjoy biking, but when we do decide to unleash the power(which we have and you dont), we don't try to show it off to the public on YouTube!!! haha, you really think that will prevent a prosecution??? What good is a proxy when you openly post links to your own videos on forums that are actively used by the police, and has your EMAIL address publically accessible?? and dont try to hide it now - its too late, it's in the Google Cache and easily obtainable. Fortunately for you the police are overstretched and can't be bothered with small fry like you on a bike that can barely break the speed limit And as for having pukka ABS - really???
  4. its my birthday on Monday - the big 40. someone asked me what i wanted to do to celebrate, and i said "everything i should have done before i turned 40"...
  5. Are you licenced to ride a bike that goes over 30mph? If not, expect trouble when the old bill catch you. But exhaust restrictions would prevent higher speeds as would many other things.

Haaaang on a minute Joe, think you've got things a bit mixed up, that was clearly Megatron http://static.fjcdn.com/pictures/Burial_b60be4_2067851.jpg Bin laden/Megatron both as plausible as each other. They used some new high-tech stealth helicopter technology to capture bin laden. Maybe they were transformers too.

yep, they came down very cleanly... almost too cleanly... many people made a lot of money on that day when the share price of many companies crashed. But I hope that the conspiracies are just that, and not some greedy persons plan to pocket a few (billion) quid. But the towers coming down sparked the war against Bin-Laden. He suddenly became public enemy number one. A man reliant on blood transfusions somehow surviving in the desert and not able to be found. When they eventually found him, in Pakistan, they killed him in his house, took his body away, and dumped him at sea... no body, no evidence... did Bin-Laden actually exist? we will never know....
  8. yeah, sorn and insured - i think its a good way to build/maintain a second set of NCB without having to actually own a whole bike.
  9. i quite liked the look of these two: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/JEEP-CJ5-CUSTOM-WITH-CRATE-350ci-CHEVY-V8-MOTOR-/302053936054?hash=item4653d14bb6:g:kcQAAOSw-itXu5X-" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Willys-Jeep-1948-American-4x4-modified-1-off-custom-302-5-0-v8-swap-swop-px-/162182617678?hash=item25c2d65a4e:g:5~MAAOSwaB5Xwbx-" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; both need better weather than we have!
  10. i was thinking of going to an jumbe to buy an old frame with logbook. chopping the frame number out and throwing the rest of the frame away. then storing the frame number and logbook away in my filing cabinet and using it to keep an old insurance policy running to maintain no claims bonus. How much of the bike needs to exist for the policy to be valid??
  11. I nearly bought a RR sport supercharged. Then worked out how much a trip to see my mum would cost in fuel... Glad I didn't buy one as they are looking a bit dated inside now.
  12. the used Cayenne Turbos are cheap as chips these days (compared to what they cost brand new) a mate of mine had one and it was fast, but it's still a big heavy lump, and a little bit ugly too.

My flatmate at the time was flying to the US. I sent her a text to say "if you don't make it back I'm keeping your PlayStation".. She was re-routed mid-Atlantic and flew back to the uk and she got to keep her PlayStation.
  14. You'll be in trouble for not reading the red bit!
  15. Which network? I have a GiffGaff sim in mine. They don't consume much data so you don't need a huge data package. Mines payg and tops up when empty.
  16. Exhausting...
  17. Was intending to buy one to see what they are like. Ive bought a few Gps trackers and most have been good. If these can relay vehicle data in real-time, that would be cool. OBD2 port doesn't switch off with ignition so just be careful you don't drain your battery! Yeah....says 22mA current draw on 12v......but the bike is on an optimate in the garage when it's not being used, Joe. I think it just gets its power from the OBD2 port.....so, no real time data from the ECU.......although there is an OBD2 bluetooth transmitter available for that...... Ive got the Bluetooth OBD2 and that does flatten the battery But it sends data to my phone as I ride so I can log geeky stuff. The tracker in have is the TLT2 (waterproof version). No complains.

  19. They always used to annoy me, but ever since finding out that undertaking is not an offence, i just drive past them on either side. I can sort of understand why many people do it. It's the lazy option for people who can't be bothered. Have to remember that most people are not driving enthusiasts, they just drive because they have to, so they don't take pride in their driving ability or bother to make it better or safer. If you stay in the left lane as soon as you get to a junction or a slow moving lorry/caravan you'll have to bother to pull out and change lanes. Also many motorways have the left lane as the exit slip so again, if you don't want to exit the motorway you have to move over... so the simple, lazy option is to just stay in the middle lane, activate cruise control and make all those phone calls you needed to make.... Modern cars have blind spot detection systems - I bet with a bit of software these could be modified to notify the driver they are in the middle lane and remind them to pull over.

    Would you go?

Where there's a blame there's a claim... Ca-ching!!!! Hope youre better soon (and get a hefty payout)
  21. Any idea how many players there are at each level?
  22. I have the exact same picture with my daughter on one of those.
  23. I waved back at some kids the other day, they were just taking the piss out of something though. I didn't hear what they were saying but they were all laughing Was your chain loose again? Were they laughing at that??
  24. yep, waving and trying to entice them into our gang... Not in a Gary glitter way though. i must have missed the memo....
