Just checked the weather and it's gonna be shite. Ok, not really, just didn't wanna jinx it!

due to changes with whos coming etc, i've decided to narrow down the meeting points.

0900 - Shell Garage opposite Strawberry Pub (Barrow)

1000 - layby off J36, M6 (Hideaway Cafe)

1030 - Devils Bridge

1100 - Morrisons Kendal to meet with Matt & Louise

1200 - CA10 3PW The Greyhound, Main Street, Shap - (Wiggleit).

 

What are we doing for the other hour and a half after we've ridden from J36 to Shap in half an hour?!?!?

May I suggest a slight revision?

1000 - J36 Layby (Hideaway Cafe)

1001 - Order full english breakfast

1015 - Consume full english breakfast

1030 - Sit around talking about how good the full english breakfast was and drink lots of tea

1130 - Set off to Shap

1200 - Get to Shap

Guy's - please post FINAL meeting points and times so that everyone know's the craic !!!

Personally i'd prefare the 1130 set off from the cafe (as i'd have another hour in bed) but i'll go with what the final posted meeting time is.

So to save confusion, please can we have the DEFINITIVE times and meeting points so everyone knows whats happening.

going to go from Cafe to Asda in Kendal for Fuel and breakfast.

Meeting times are as posted

0900 - Barrow Depart (Me and Marsey - Shell garage)

1000- Hideaway Cafe off J36 M6.

once everyone has arrived will make way to Asda for Fuel and food.

1130 - Depart Asda for Shap Meet up

1200 - Shap

Something has cropped up, gotta attend a nephews birthday party,

but i will still try and get as much of the run in as i can

so i will peel off the run about 3pm ish.

Sunday - on way back from Dev's Bridge, what I thought was just a cold coming on was devloping (fast) into full-blown flu.

I was a little underdressed but would normally have been ok if a little uncomfortable.

Half way home I started shivvering - you know the real teeth smashing spasm'y ones you cant stop.

I really should have stopped - wasnt remotely safe- but all I could think of was gettin home as fast as poss, sod the wind chill.

Couldnt feel my arms or hands, stalled three times whilst moving ( cant explain why I didnt drop it - should have)

Being a girly - and a bit self-indulgent I shed a few tears....actually was havin a good old blub until I worked out it was soaking my neck tube and makin me colder.

I did get home...parked up on pavement.

Amy got me a hot WB but it was a good 3/4 hr before the shivers calmed down

It took a hot bath (didnt help much) and about 3 more hours for my extremities to warm back up.....and my arse......lets not go there eh?

Obviously all made 100 times worse by the nasty lil bug I was nurturing niceley.

Been off and will be off work all week - on Penecillin & oral steroids.

First time out of bed today.

So it breaks my heart cos I was so ready to do this and catch up with some good pals, meet a few new ones...

Shit havin a wee blub now...silly coo....sooo feeling sorry for my wretched bloody self...

Guys I hope you have an amazing day I'm sure you will.

If theres a miracle or if these steroids truly work thier magic - I'll be there.

If not.....and if you get as far a Wigton ....all ride past my house hanging off those horns!!!! ....at least twice...

Guys my Bike was a write off, they buggered it up propper.

I am looking at buying this tho for £2500

But even if I get that this afternoon I dont want to go on a big ride until ive had chance to get used to it. Pluss if I have a break down and cant make it into work after all this effort sorting it out my family would change the locks
