Myths & Legends Run - Take 2, 21 March 2010

looking at resurrecting this jolly...

After Akey and willows beetle run, and my ride back fom Scotland, I came across some outstanding areas of history, so have decided to think about a Myths and legends run..

Meeting points/times

Devils Bridge 1030 -

Morrisons Petrol Station, 1100-1130,

The Crown Pub, Shap 1200-1230 -

the Tour...

Shap Abbey

Lowther Castle (and the legent of the Lowther Oak tree)

George and Dragon Pub, Clifton, (last Battlefield in England)

Hutton in the Forest

Greystoke Castle (Legend of Tarzan)

Castlerigg Stone Circle, Keswick

Bridge House, Ambleside (man built a house over river to avoid land tax)

Returning through Windermere, and back to Devils Bridge.

if needed i will meet anyone at Devils Bridge, Kirkby Lonsdale, come up the M6 off at J34, take the A683, to Kirkby Lonsdale, and your on the Caton/Hornby road, watch out it is policed, but is a cracking road, at the end, take a left then a right to the car park.

I wont know if i will be going untill about 2 weeks before but if I do

Duane we could meet at the Lymm truckstop Junc 20 om the M6 (Fuel & coffee) and Mickey come up the M61 onto the M6 then Duane and I can met you at jnc 31 A59 the Tickle Trout Hotel

theres fuel and coffee at the trout too

I'd quite like to have a go at that, you might have to wait at each stop for me to catch you up though as I've not even got a whole year of riding in under my belt yet.

Might be tempted by this but won't know until nearer the time. Room for an FZS1000?
