Jerry Can Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 Hi,I wanna dyno jet (I assume stage 1) to my K4 1200 bandit.Anyone know of cost range? also to have K&N filter and carbs balanced etc.cheers Quote
Guest philgale Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 think it all depends what you get done, to just stick it on a dyno is about 40 quid i think (was last time i saw a dyno truck at oulton) to actually change the map of the bike you will need a power commander which would set you back a few hundred. Jerry Can Posted April 22, 2010 Author Posted April 22, 2010 I have no ECU on my bike, simple carbs so just the dyno jet stage 1 kit is all I need. Quote
Stu Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 I have no ECU on my bike, simple carbs so just the dyno jet stage 1 kit is all I need. not as simple as that im afraid!!a decent tuner will tell you a "dyno jet stage 1" is a waste of time as every bike is different and different exhausts and air filters breath differently you may need bigger or smaller jets then what come with the kit!! talk to a tuner for his advice have you got a race can on now? what about a air filter? Jerry Can Posted April 22, 2010 Author Posted April 22, 2010 Yea I have a scorpion street extreme can and the stock air filter Quote
Hoover Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 you shouldnt need to re-jet your bike if you have only changed the can, even with the k+n filter you should be ok, balancing the carbs is a 5 minute job so shouldn't be much. Quote
kja.busa Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 Forget the stage 1 kit, for the best gains a full system like an Akrapovic then a K&N will justify some dyno time for the optimum carb set up, expect gains of around 25% too, but best done on the dyno with an experienced bloke. Quote
Anthony Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 Putting an aftermarket can and a free flow filter will mean your bike will probably f**k up at around 4,000rpm and will not run properly been there done that Quote
