Susieque Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 Yes! It was a shocking crash & I was amazed that more riders weren't involved!Sad loss of a youngster Here's hoping Scott Redding is ok - haven't heard how he is yet. Quote
bex Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 i have a lump in my throat, he was such a happy smily lad who had his career firmly at his feet. doing so well, just shows that we love one of the most dangerous sports around and that life is for living.fingers crossed for DeAngelis and Reading Quote
FORDYUK Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 Really tragic news, you knew it was a bad one.Very talented rider and a great guy also.RIP Shoya, keep on riding up there.#48http://www2.pictures.zimbio.com/gi/MotoGP+Catalunya+Practice+Qualifying+z0W0zBKGJ-pl.jpg Quote
mealexme Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 This is tragic. Not just for Tomizawa and his family, but for the two riders who hit him. I know if I was one of those riders, although they had no serious injuries, would never race again. In a way i think a death is worse for the person who caused it (well, who was involved) than it is for the family of the deceased. The family (after many years) will deal to live with it, but i am not so sure that the other two riders involved will. Quote

Fozzie Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 I watched it, and the way he seemed so limp when he stopped really shocked me... I sort of thought he would have been knocked out cold but for it to be worse has really stunned me...And 19... That is really hard to compute... He was younger than me and I'm considered a wipper snapper. Too young... Way to young. R.I.P FellaLet your roads be smooth and curvy, the weather good, a perfect bike on a perfect day up in heaven. mealexme Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 RE my last comment. I am not saying its not tragic, and i am not saying that the family will get over him passing, and i am not saying it was anyones fault. I am just saying that personally putting myself in the shoes of both his family and the others involved in the accident I think that after a while (many, many years) that if i had lost someone, I would be able eventually deal with it (not get over it, but learn to deal with it), however if I had seen a body under my wheels, personally i dont think i would ever forgive myself for it (and again, i am not blaming anyone, this is just how i immagine i would feel).I write this post in reply to a pm, and *though it would be best to reply on this thread aswell as replying to the pm encase i had upset anyone else over what i had said. I apologise and I in no way meant for that post to be insensitive.R.I.P TomizawaEDIT: *thought Quote
Guest Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 When you have a child of your own you will most definately change these views..... This thread is not the place for any disagreements it is to comment on the tragic loss of yet another racer. Please continue further via pm. Quote
