Akey, how many bikes are signed up?

TC, you and Cobbs are welcome to come to mine Sat evening if you've got time to kill before the event. I'm only a mile from either Bridge! I'm working Saturday and was hoping to get a little shut eye before the run but I don't see that happening so you guys are quite welcome to stop a while. I won't be home till 6 tho!

Last count there were about 40 bikes signed up mate so should be a good run.

Hold on, thats about 35 bikes I have got to get past after marking a junction

The gps files on the bikers4macmillan site are now all up and working if you want them - I have tested the tomtom one

Well I am now home and had a couple of hours sleep - wow what a ride that was, warm and dry all the way

Well the date for next year is already set and on the website on the first post so if you fancy haveing a go then go have a look, its a pretty good feeling watching the sun rise in skeggy after that ride. Unfortunatly we didnt get to see the sun set as it was very foggy in anglesea

I will try to get a better ride report and photos up later in the week when my head starts working properly again

Caretaker, sorry I didnt get the post 'till it was to late, we did come in through Newark at about 0230 just thorugh the A46 then up to Lincoln.

What an Experiance that was :D

We had Sun, Rain, Sun, Rain, Mist, Rain, Clear, Fog and that was just getting to Stack Rock. I took a little detour through North Wales to get there (You can't go all that way and not enjoy the roads)

I met Jota and Bev at Menai bridge and rode up to South Stack Point which was covered in Thick fog. There we met Mark (Akey) and the ride organisers who made us feel welcome and part of the group straight away.

We left at Sunset 21-31 in the fog After about 30 mins the fog lifted and you could feel the temperature raise. It was great just watching what seemed an endless stream of bikes snaking away in front of you. which got even better later on as we hit some twisties which you could see ahead for miles (A Snake of red lights).

The route was good and varied with some good riding showed by everyone (Well done to the marshalls) We had well spaced out breaks and got to Skegness just in time for the Night clubs to be kicking out/off Oh and to see the sunrise.

My stats for the trip were

17 hours 30 mins riding - Home to home

605 miles

£61 fuel

Thanks to Mark, Derek and bev for the company.

Nice write up Dave, glad you enjoyed the run

My lasting memory of the night has got to be sitting on the exit of a roundabout as a marshall just watching the bikes stream past, then picking up the back of the pack and overtaking all the bikes for what seemed like an age before finally getting back to the front ready for another go.....................................

So what do we think a few more from TMBF next year???? come on you know you want to.

Renne said he really would've liked to do the ride - it's difficult for him because of working on the Sunday night. :(

What time did you get home Mark?
