My Hyosung project

Recommended Posts

Engine was painted black mate....been trying to keep with a black and silver theme. As much as i like the streetfighter style i have been trying to do something different. I removed the streetfighter style headlight and added fairings to the top to come away from streetfighter look.

It wont be long before i get bored with my current colour scheme...already planning a different one but for now i think i will just enjoy :D

Liking it!

Thought about making the steering clip on bars, rather than the streety high rise bar?

it did cross my mind but i do like the position as is.

To do it properly i would need USD's or i could opt for universal cip ons. I would like to try it at some point

Spent the weekend fitting a 250 engine. Engine came from the GV cruiser so some nice chrome casing. Massive difference to ride, goes like s@@t off a shovel so to speak.

Good stuff to see it progress more!

I know the GT comes able to have the bigger engine ready to go straight in, frame is a good platform :)

Are you using the carbs from the 125 or did you get a set for the 250?

Increasing main jet size isnt always the best plan as you may run the bike overly rich at the high rpm's. You ideally need to increase the amount of air and then upping the jets and messing with the needle smooth the fuelling out so it runs just a little bit rich at all points!

Or so Ive been told to keep it running reliably :)

I have much a similar set up as i did with the 125, desnorkled airfilter and still using the same carbs with a slight increase in the main jets. The pilots have been increased, needle clip returned to the middle. Just ordered bigger jets as the other hyo members that run this engine with the Stainless system are running 100/102 main jets and i think 21 pilots.

As i did with the last setup, trial and error with the carbs. Lots of messing about but well worth it when you get the perfect setup.
