megawatt Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 Your bars are not adjustable mate. If you want the bars higher, you will have look for a comfort kit or buy Variobars or Helibars. Quote
eastanglianbiker Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 those are standard bars not a lot you can do to change the height of them apart from modifing top yoke and putting risers and straight bars on it Quote
min200 Posted May 4, 2013 Author Posted May 4, 2013 Could I adjust the fork height? Harden up the ride ND Rise the front end a touch? Quote
megawatt Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 I highly recommend you do not lower the front end, it will make bike very unstable. See if anyone makes fork extentions for your bike. Quote
Stu Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 I highly recommend you do not lower the front end, he wants to raise it in the centre of the fork you have something sticking up out the middle of the for this should be a preload adjuster you can adjust this to make the forks harder and they wont sag as much when you sit on the bike you have to go careful with suspension though as its so easy to mess it up and make it worse you cant raise the front end any way as the forks are as far through the yokes as the will allow Quote
min200 Posted May 4, 2013 Author Posted May 4, 2013 Is that the bits sticking up out of the middle? Do I turn them left or right to harden them up? Quote
megawatt Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 Normally turn clockwise to stiffen pre-load and damping. Quote
Stu Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 yeah thats the ones you would wind them in they should have lines on them so you can see how far in they are not sure what standard settings are but write down what they are now first but if your suspension feels fine then don't mess with them if its too soft on the front then winding them in a little may help Quote
fullscreenaging Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 A very brief description on suspension set uphttp://www.motorcyclenews.com/MCN/Produ ... nsion-sag/That should help. Quote
min200 Posted May 4, 2013 Author Posted May 4, 2013 Guys you are a god send!If its a car I have no probs but I have never worked on my bike yet!It wont be long before I catch up and dish out some advice for others hopefully! Quote
Tango Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 Possible solution....but I've not used them myself....so can't vouch for how good they are..... http://www.moorespeedracing.co.uk/motor ... isers.html Quote
