unusual helmet question

well here's my quandary

I am in need of a new lid and have a few that I've tried on that feel really comfy , but the problem is my preferred lid has a double d ring strap , and I hate them, I find them loads of messing around to use and just prefer the ratchet type

so my question is can I have a ratchet type strap fitted to replace the annoying double d ring strap ?

Yes you can do this, Though you would have to make sure the stiching is perfect.

Just look on ebay for a replacement

Double D is the best fastener you can get.

The one's in the link are shit. they are forever loosening themselves. The first lid I bought was a Shark S800 that came with the seat belt type fastener. I hated it as I had to tighten the bloody the thing every couple of days.

IMO persevere with the DD.

i just find then fiddly to use, once i stop on the bike the first thing i want to do is get my lid off , I've just decided to bite the bullet and get used to the d ring type

It's only because your not used to it

I have always had double D and can't complain I have tried others and hate it

I love the ratchet type, seat belt type are the worst, double d are middling lol

I prefer the Double-D ring type.....but it's what I'm used to.......and I always feel the lid is more secure than the other type fixing.....but that's probably perception rather than scientific fact......

First thing you should be taking off is your gloves, then your lid

Never had a problem with the ratchet type, actually prefer it to the double D
