Tango Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 In another thread we were discussing coolant. I met someone a while ago who said he ran high performance coolant in his bike which stopped his running hot problems.....so I tried to find it as I couldn't remember what it was called, and came across this stuff http://www.waterlessenginecoolant.com/p ... 80-5-litre. Has anyone used it? If so, what do you think? Quote
Tango Posted June 14, 2014 Author Posted June 14, 2014 This is the stuff that the guy with the Daytona was talking about......Engine Ice..http://www.engineice.com/Has anyone used this? Quote
Mr Fro Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 I was looking at this for the girlies car but it worked out at ~£200 with the flushing stuff so I binned the idea. It's highly recommended by Lotus for the K-series engine which has shit cooling.Works out pretty economical if you're doing a couple of bikes. Rad Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 Taste: Slightly Sweat...Now why would you do that with a coolant? Quote
Joeman Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 Taste: Slightly Sweat...Now why would you do that with a coolant? I do! when looking at a used car, i always taste the coolant to ensure its not just water...maybe im wierd... Quote
cockercas Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 Im looking at this stuff to run next year. You can flush with white vinager and water mixed 50/50 Quote
cockercas Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 Could this stuff make your bike run below its optimum running temp? If the claimed 15/20ºF is true that will make my bike run around 70ºc Quote
Stu Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 No that's what a stats job is for to keep that temp above optimal But once the stat is fully open they can run cooler ie if stuck in traffic but if the temp drops below that of closing temp of the stat it will close and heat the coolant up to running temp as normal Quote
