Glorian Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 Evening. As i plan on getting a bandit 600 as my next bike. I was just wondering if it's possible to install a kick start by chance? For 2 reasons1 - obviously to help if the battery was ever dead. ( i can jump start but i like kick starts)2 - kick starts are cool. Quote
rennie Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 I was going to write a big long explanation but (Although anything is possible but you really don't want to go there!) Quote
mattycoops43 Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Learn how to bump start a bike, it's not that hard if the battery is 'just' too flat to spin it over. Quote
Rad Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Bump starting was my primary way of starting my 50cc when I was a kid. Just push and go. Bump starting a bandit hmm... sounds fun Quote
Stu Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 this is like saying I want to stick a starting handle on my car just in case!pointless and stupid Quote
Grumpy Old Git Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 However you CAN fit a kickstart onto a Bandit - Just tape it to the rear seat!!! Quote
Glorian Posted July 2, 2014 Author Posted July 2, 2014 Cheers for the input I do know that it's pointless to have, but i do still think it's a cool feature. Also as i said i can bump start a bike, but on a heavier bike it's sometimes a bit harder to get it moving Quote

I have bump started a fazer on the level, just tried starter, in second, and paddled the bike along to give the starter an extra push. If it's FLAT flat, you will never bump start it, that's what jump starting is for! Quote
