Lonely Old Bob an update on my Honda XBR project

Recommended Posts

Back in May I found this sad looking 1988 Honda XBR 500 in need a new home.

It had a flat rear tyre and had not run for about 3 years the previous owner had passed away and his widow was very reluctant to let it go.

I assured her that it would be very well looked after and I also would bring it back and let her see it

when it was back on the road.

All that was needed was new chain & sprockets, swinging arm bushes, air filter, oil change, oil filter, inner tube for rear tyre

& new spark plug.

The engine is fine and runs very sweet & sounds great.

She clean up very well and rides on rails.

Last week I took the bike back to show the previous owners widow the resurrected XBR.

She was over the moon to see the bike back on the road and being put to good use.
