Who else but Quagmire Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 If it missed the fairing and got you in the chest. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WErIq4Hd9zo Quote
Joeman Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 Mental!!How does that even happen?? What causes it to fire backwards at the speed required to impale a fairing? Quote
Tango Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 Holy fook......that could have taken the guys head off....... Quote
Obrien65 Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 If that had hit him in the chest he'd have no chance. It would probably have burst straight through his rib cage and lodged in a lung. Quote
CGD217 Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 Bloody hell. I think that guy was rather lucky! Quote
bex Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 makes you wonder what would have happened, and how often does it happen do you think? Quote
Joeman Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 makes you wonder what would have happened, and how often does it happen do you think? thats what i thought... if the plate hit the top of the rear tyre, it would surely be pulled forward, and not ejected out backwards....I reckon its a FAKE!! Also, bike fairings are pretty tough, and plates are not very heavy, so i dont think a number plate (een a metal one) would have enough momentum to stab so far into a bike fairing...I call FAKE!!! Tango Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 If you're travelling at speed the wind would rip it backwards off the bike......and lightweight metal of that shape would decelerate pretty quick........so the speed differential when it hit the following bike could be high enough to do this......but the odds against it happening must be pretty high...... I reckon it's not a fake.......why would you do that to your bike just for Youtube views?...... Quote
