How long to get your licence back after passing

I passed my mod 2 Thursday, I left my licenses there. When will I likely get them back? I need them to test ride a bike on Saturday coming? Any chance?

I think officially it can be up to 2 weeks, but they're often faster than that. I think I got mine back within 1 week.

I have my certs, as they don't keep them just you two parts of your license. The Harley garage asked me to bring both parts for my test ride, if it doesn't come I'll take the certs but not sure they'll accept that.

Your examiner should have told you when to expect your full licence through the door.

As Marky said it can take up to 2 weeks, but it's usually quicker than that.

The Harley place won't accept a pass cert. it will tell you what to do on the back of your pass cert if your licence is not with you after a certain amount of time has passed.

Also your examiner will not post your provisional. He will enter your details on his PC directly linked to the DVLA and then shred it.

My examiner wasn't the chattiest of guys and at the time I was too excited/relieved to recall all the questions I wanted to know, I guess wait and see is the answer.

Mine came through quite quick... Quicker than the V5 for the bike I bought Cost me a very early biking trip to France ....

Dvla have a phone number that can be called to check your licence status. Hire companies use it to check when you turn up without a licence. Give it a call and see if that says you have a full licence. The Harley dealer can do the same.

Do Harley know you will of just passed your test? I've heard for new licence holders some dealers can be bit funny about test rides so soon after passing test and prefer to send someone out with you on the test ride.
