I've just bought my first ever set of leathers (RST blade ladies, best fitting for my shape and fine for what I need) - do I need to do anything to protect them BEFORE I start wearing them? And do I just clean them when they are grubby or should I do it on a regular schedule?

thanks

What is this "cleaning leathers" of which you speak?......

I used to use saddle soap for cleaning them, and then a bit of Neatsfoot oil to feed the leather.......but these days I don't bother......

ah I'm starting to really like you guys - I thought you were going to tell me I had to spend hours rubbing some expensive leather protector into them before I could even go out in them  . Baby wipes are the clandard cleaning equipment for anything in this house, so that should be easy enough, thanks!

i usually only clean mine when theres a large amount of dead bugs on them, then its just baby wipes to get them off :D

Ive Only ever cleaned the bit where me Italian tinned tomatoes sit, when you keep getting a whiff of a pissy mouldy smell then give em a squirt of Frebeze.
