Fully Synthetic vs Semi Synthetic 2 stroke oil?

I need to get some more oil for my bike but I'm not sure whether to get some semi synthetic or fully synthetic. I doubt I'll even notice a difference but I thought I'd ask in case there's some big differences between them. I had a look on some forums and there was so many different things being said about each one, so does anyone here know a bit about the differences?

Seeing that the OP has a DT 125 (which is a 2 stroke) and states that he is wondering whether to use semi or full synthetic oil, I'm assuming that he means 2 stroke oil. When I used to own 2 strokes, I used to use Castrol R, purely for the smell alone. It ain't cheap, but ohh, the smell! :D

need to clarify, are you talking about gearbox oil or two-stroke oil?

premium quality two-stroke oil is generally fully synth.

I'm talking about 2 stroke oil for the engine, not gearbox oil.

I've read some things about the smell of castrol R. I don't think they make it any more though. The other thing is my bike uses an oil injector so I can't use certain oils as they are premix only.

if its for a 2 stroke then oil is only in the gearbox so using fully synthetic could give you clutch slip, personally i would go for a 10w/40 mineral oil or semi sythetic

I was talking about 2 stroke engine oil. My bike uses an oil injector so I just fill up a little tank with the oil and don't have to worry about manually mixing it with the petrol.
