I note the guy who crashed wasn't part of the gathering. I think its true that it's non visitors who are the dicks last tune I was there some chavs on scooters were pulling wheelies outside. Everyone inside said what idiots they were.

I saw the post of Car Throttle as well,unfortunately there are a few idiots who seem to ruin it for everybody else.

Personally I don't see the point in the showing off, it just endangers others and your pride and joy when it goes wrong!

But many years ago when the ace opened, wasnt it exactly what the bikers back then were doing?? Racing on public roads and fighting with rival bikers/scooter riders? "Ton up boys" racing through the streets etc etc...

I mainly stopped going to the ace as it was attracting really the wrong sort of show off idiots..

Again exactly as Hoggs has said, it's not the actually Café patrons who tend to do this stupid crap, it's just random 'lads' who turn up to show off. .

This is a good point.

I think they used to race along the old north circular whereas now the new north Circular is a bit further away they race up and down the road directly in front which is quite narrow. I think someone getting injured always makes the authorities take more notice. And maybe higher speeds and more people means more idiots so problem is more noticeable?

I think it was also closed down the first (and probably second the third!) times for similar reasons.

Mad Fridays were amazing for people doing burnouts, wheelies, stunt riding.

Dangerous, but was good to watch. But it's always the yobbos who think they can do the same as the pros that spoil it.

I don't think it will close, but the police never seem to clock the yobbos will just congregate elsewhere.

To be fair, at least one of the times it closed down was due to being reduced to rubble..

Looking forward to the Burn up this year on the Sprint though..

Hope the guy who was injured makes a full recovery and the car driver is given a real smack on the wrists..
