Helmet help

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone it's been a while since I posted but I have been lurking about. :D

Since I posted I passed my CBT (back in July) will post some pics of my bike soon. :)

My helmet is very noisy it fits ok but the wind gets in through the chin area and it gets very noisy.

I want to get a new helmet but there are so many it's hard to start looking at what ones are decent.

I am looking at spending up to £140.

One helmet I do like the look of is the shark s700s, but there is the s900c as well don't know if there is much of a difference between them?

Helmet preference would be full faced, pinlock comparable, low wind noise and Matt black.

If anyone can suggest any helmets that would be great.

Thanks for the replies.

I could wear earplugs but I still want a helmet that is a bit quieter and the matt black s900 looks amazing.

I have a shark s500 alpha at the moment and it gets noisy at about 40mph.

What speeds do your helmets get noisy at?

I have the shark s900 (the c means it has weird cheek pumps). It is not a perfect fit for me (I get a slight sore head after 90min) but it is pretty quiet. I do wear ear plugs though. (Moldex spark plugs)

I like the helmet, and don't really want to replace it. But lack of a pinlock and getting sore head eventually is annoying me now.

l wouldn't ride a bike without ear protection. Wind Noise is an health issue and also very distracting.
