Tango Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 Google tune ecu Yep TuneECU is a free program you can download from t'Internet. ....and you need an VAG OBD2 cable, which you can get for about £10 off eBay. ..... I would strongly recommend that you don't go messing with the fuelling and ignition maps though, unless you know what you're doing......and have a dyno to hand.......engines can go bang if you bugger the fuelling and ignition up...... But you can download preset maps for your bike and upload them into the ECU.......and TuneECU is also very useful for diagnostics on the bike if you ever have any problems with it...... Quote
Guest Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 Yea I'd never map myself I was intending to stick a pre-made map on. Quote

tuktuk Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 They might follow you in the car, even better as you can lose them! I was followed on the bike and lost the examiner for loads of the test. Cant fail you if they cant see you lol Quote

Guest Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 Last lesson done until test day. Obviously no perfectionist but all in all I'm relaxed about the test. Quote
RantMachine Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 I got a clean sheet on my test, but would've dropped a few marks if I hadn't managed to lose my examiner twice - once right before a bit of overly aggressive filtering, and once right before I missed a reduced speed school zone Quote
XmisterIS Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 Good luck! Just remember, all you have to do is ride round for 40 minutes doing what the examiner tells you. Then burn those L-plates! It's a great feeling Quote
Hoggs Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 I remember coming back in to the test centre convinced I'd failed as I'd only been out 10 minutes. Turns out it had been almost 40!! Obviously I was having more fun than I thought Quote
