bmwdave Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 Charger for cordless drill/screwdriver has failed, and of course all Bosch stuff have slightly different batteries and chargers so the battery wont fit into the charger for the hedge trimmers. The 2404 charger is about £15 + postage on the net but all the pics show it with a 2 pin shaver type plug so presumably from Europe. I've also found an adaptor listed but its not clear which one it plugs into or which one you can plug into it. Unless its clever enough to be universal?Anyone had this problem and solved it or got any advice? Quote
Joeman Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 I don't use bosch drills anyone after three of them failed on me within one year, and im just a DIY guy not buying them professionally.I have a cheap GMC? Drill that I bought from screwfix to get a job done and it's never let me down. Came with two batteries and was only about 60quid. It's outlasted all of my bosch power tools! Quote
cockercas Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 Ive got makita and hitachi drivers, hitatchi must be 5 years old and still as good as the day i borght it. Mikitas gears have gone in all 3 drivers less then 18month old. Quote
Mr Fro Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 Makita all day long for me. Can't be doing with breaking tools on a job. My drill/driver must be 4 or 5 years old - it's not had an easy life by any means although the chuck could probably use a clean up as it's getting a bit noisy. Quote
Grumpy Old Git Posted June 14, 2016 Posted June 14, 2016 Get an adapter from any DIY store. Cutting off the plug will invalidate the warranty! Quote
Bigralphie Posted June 14, 2016 Posted June 14, 2016 You cant supply products with a euro plug in the UK unless it has a BS approved plug converter fitted (strictly speaking ) Quote
