Storage Box Overnight?

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

Had new scooter this week and I just want to check regarding storage boxes. Is it safe to leave them on the bike over night? The bike has a cover on it overnight but I just want to check if I should be bringing it in every night? Especially with the weather getting colder?

Thanks

Always used to leave my top box, Givi, on overnight, not always with a cover on I must admit. Never left any valuable stuff in it though.

Should be fine. I had one on my old moped and on my last bike and never took them off, summer or winter. Just lock it up when you're away.

Suppose it all depends on where you live, and if you plan on leaving anything valuable in it

I always take mine off when parking it up overnight, but then that's more down to the fact the cover won't fit with it on :)

Always left mine on my scooter and had a cover over it at night. During the day it was parked in London, no one ever touched it. To be honest they would have been more likely to take the whole scooter!

Just don't leave anything in the box or under the seat that you can't afford to replace again i.e. Helmets etc.

Only leave documents and waterproof suit under the seat over night as the lock and cover are on the bike lol

What documents are these. I would not leave any doc relating to the bike stored under the seat over night.
