Guest Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 (edited) Just wondering if anyone has purchased either of the following items and what your opinion is of them. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/122183621807 < Mirrors built in LEDshttp://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CNC-Rearset-Foot-pegs-Rear-set-For-Suzuki-Gsxr-600-750-1000-K1-K2-K3-K4-SV650S-/172417701798?hash=item2824e557a6:g:cv8AAOSwB09YPlyD < Rear SetI have ordered both so if nobody has purchased these before I'll be able to let you know if they're any good CheersEdit: Images here http://imgur.com/a/txqluUpdate: So after 4 months the mirror clean snapped off. I could understand if it had been dropped or knocked into something but I went to adjust it and it broke off in my hand. I contacted the seller to see what can be done:"We can resend this side to you,but you need to pay £19.if ok,we will send a invoice to you for payment.thanks."Sadly that isn't the kind of answer I expected. They don't state any kind of warranty but you'd expect them to last a reasonable amount of time before braking. I can't really recommend these mirrors after this.Even if they had been replaced freely the quality of the product would still be in dispute. Edited March 14, 2017 by Anonymous Quote
Guest Posted December 16, 2016 Posted December 16, 2016 I have CNC rearsets on the R1. Good fit but do yourself a favor and use thread lock on ALL the bolts.Standard practice for all CNC gear. Quote
Mr Fro Posted December 16, 2016 Posted December 16, 2016 I'm with Phil. One of mine very nearly fell off half way through a track session! Deffo get some thread lock on them. Quote
Guest Posted December 16, 2016 Posted December 16, 2016 I understand you can get different colour thread lock? Is that correct, something to do with how strong they are. What colour should I use, blue? Quote
JRH Posted December 16, 2016 Posted December 16, 2016 YepBlue can be dis-assembled with normal tools. http://www.loctiteproducts.com/p/t_lkr_blue/overview/Loctite-Threadlocker-Blue-242.htm(Red is permanent http://www.loctiteproducts.com/p/t_lkr_red/overview/Loctite-Threadlocker-Red-271.htm) Quote

Guest Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 Ok mirrors arrived, they work well. The only complaint I have is that compared to the stock mirrors they seem to vibrate A LOT. But you can still see enough and the indicators work well and the light doesn't over power the mirror (for the inbuilt led)The rear set is also now fitted. Went on easily and as suggested a little thread lock applied. So far so good. Nice and solid feel and they've not come loose. So far no complaints so money well spent in my opinion. Quote

Westbeef Posted March 14, 2017 Posted March 14, 2017 How have the rear sets held up so far? I think I'll avoid the mirros, but I fancy some of the rear sets eventually. Quote
Joeman Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 Glutton for punishment after they asked for £19 for a replacement, I've found the for £15.It wasnt fit for purpose, so demand a free replacement, send it back for a refund.Hit them with a PayPal case if they don't comply. You shouldn't be forking out more money to rectify a faulty product. Quote

Absolutely no trouble at all with the rear set. I used the Loctite blue to ensure everything stayed where it belongs and so far so good. Quote

If they are a business they are bound by UK law to offer a warranty. How long have you had them? You have a cooling off period so even if they hadn't broken if you're still within the cooling off period you could return them without reason. It's a benefit of buying on the internet that you don't get in a shop. Quote
Classickid21 Posted March 29, 2017 Posted March 29, 2017 These are good to look at but i found a big biker stranded to the side of the road with the same hangers the gear changer side snapped clean off..... Quote
