Thomas J Posted December 29, 2016 Posted December 29, 2016 As above I have just booked my direct access. I am doing it at the same place that I did my cbt with over a year ago with.I had a little assessment ride on the bike and one thing I wasnt great with in my eyes was low speed clutch control.I know that I will get it.I have the bike so I need to get this done and I have been saying for too long I need to get my bike test done. Its quite close so in less than a month I should either be on the road or a little upset. Thanks everyone for the advice I have had on here so far. Thanks Thomas. Lateralus Posted December 29, 2016 Posted December 29, 2016 Have fun! I found that the clutch control just came with time on the bike - never focused on it specifically, it's just part and parcel of normal riding. Quote
Thomas J Posted January 1, 2017 Author Posted January 1, 2017 Thankyou people. I paid the remaining balance off yesterday and we were having a chat. I explained I had done my HGV class 1 just a few months ago and he seemed quite happy with that saying I will be a sponge taking it all in.Thats what I am hoping. My dad has done alot of work on the bike and he has even put in a 12v socket for when we go away. Thanks again reading from this forum has given me great advice and alayed any fears that I have had Quote
Six30 Posted January 1, 2017 Posted January 1, 2017 Good luck Thomas , don't forget to wear your lucky blue y fronts Quote
Bhawk Posted January 1, 2017 Posted January 1, 2017 When i had trouble doing the u-turn i asked the instructor to let me just ride around the yard a bit, going as slow as possible, after ten minutes i had got the hang of slow control and u-turns were easy after that.Once you get the knack, its much easier than you think. Remember, if you need to practice it more, tell your instructor, they are there to help!Good luck with the direct access, its well worth it. Quote
Tango Posted January 1, 2017 Posted January 1, 2017 Good luck with it mate.....it'll all fall into place with a bit of practice. ..... Quote
