Anymore for anymore?

I still need to do a route down to the meeting point :?

I need to try get the ride route on my phone.. and then hope the battery doesn't die getting me TO the start point... any volunteers for back up leader if I run out of juice on the way up

(I do have a power thing on my bike it's just borked currently  )

Also I'm riding down the road we'll be setting off on, did a quick google maps and it looks a good stretch :thumb:

I'm thinking about heading over for this. Is the plan still to meet at the Wheatsheaf in Edith Weston?

I've negotiated with my youngest son to take him back to university on Sunday now, so we should be able to make this......but we've got something on Saturday evening, so we may have to b*gger off straight after the ride...... 8-)

Getting off at the Harborough junction then going up the B664 is prettier and bendier. Albeit longer time wise.

Only 5 min longer according to Google maps, and a couple of miles shorter. :thumb:

It avoids Corby, voted "Most depressing place to live" (or something like that) this week. That's always a good thing

Thanks! I'll just see where I end up/how I'm doing for time,

too narrow and twisty is not always good on my bike!

This is my route if anyone wanted to meet along the way! I'm leaving my house at 8am and making a McDonald's stop at some place called Tankersley and I'm planning a stop a bit further on too.

I will need to fuel up just before the meet!

I'm sure we met near there at some point years ago!

half of us on 1 car-park the other half on another!

I did the 664 a couple of weeks back with two blokes riding big fat customs - but there is a most spectacular hairpin to be negotiated. The Welland Valley is lovely and worth it tho, far more than the Kettering-Corby corridor.

I'll need to refill before we head out again too Rennie, I'll have to ask the bar staff for a close one I reckon.

Right the first part of the route from pub to Loughborough dogs trust should be a smidge over an hour (and if anyone wants the route for sat nav let me know the file type you need and I'll PM it over)

REMEMBER YOUR CHALLENGE TAG IF YOU'RE PLAYING!

After the dogs trust I imagine a few of you may want to mosey off home so I am looking at the second half of the route to the hotel probably another hour or so on some hopefully nice roads!

Ok I've planned a stop 10 miles before the meet for petrol .

I've set myself a 70 mile stint without a stop, I'm a soft arse I can't normally do more than an hour without one
