Air filter

Sorry, another pitstop post but i'm keen to learn.....


I have a K&N air filter so I cleaned it out using the cleaner and oil kit. When I took the top off I found this sort of gunge (centre of pic below)

Also found a small collection of fluid in the right hand side of box.

I've cleaned it all up, just wondered what it is and why it is there.

It will be coming in through the crank case breather


Its usually a sign you have been giving it some beans or the oil is a little full


you will always get some oil mist in to the air box from the crank case breather unless you fit an oil separator :)
