Foxy Stoat seeks Pig Posted March 18, 2017 Posted March 18, 2017 Sorry, another pitstop post but i'm keen to learn.....I have a K&N air filter so I cleaned it out using the cleaner and oil kit. When I took the top off I found this sort of gunge (centre of pic below)http://i800.photobucket.com/albums/yy283/martash2009/IMG_20170318_123612073.jpgAlso found a small collection of fluid in the right hand side of box.http://i800.photobucket.com/albums/yy283/martash2009/IMG_20170318_123754151.jpgI've cleaned it all up, just wondered what it is and why it is there.Thanks. Stu Posted March 18, 2017 Posted March 18, 2017 It will be coming in through the crank case breather Its usually a sign you have been giving it some beans or the oil is a little full you will always get some oil mist in to the air box from the crank case breather unless you fit an oil separator Quote
Foxy Stoat seeks Pig Posted March 18, 2017 Author Posted March 18, 2017 Thanks Stu, I don't think the oil is too full, if anything it needs a drop in it. so nothing to worry about? Quote
Stu Posted March 18, 2017 Posted March 18, 2017 I wouldn't worry too much But keep an eye on it You may have an airbox drain too check to make sure its not full Quote
Foxy Stoat seeks Pig Posted March 18, 2017 Author Posted March 18, 2017 ok thanks, any idea where I would find the drain? Quote
