Hoggs Posted March 22, 2017 Posted March 22, 2017 Ooh I haven't been here for a while! Have you all missed me? Never fear stuff is now going wrong! So went out on Sunday - no issues on the way there or 90% of the way home but THEN! my left indicator started flashing really quickly (both the dash light and front indicator). (Right indicator dash light and bulb fine)Oh, thought I, must be a rear that's gone.Nope. I have a sexy double indicator insanity on the back of my bike (don't ask) so the standard sticky out ones and a dual rear light/indicator after market get up. All of those are working fine but flashing faster on the leftSo my question is: Is Kermit letting me know that a bulb is ABOUT to go or are my electrics just crapping out? Quote
Lateralus Posted March 22, 2017 Posted March 22, 2017 Nope. I have a sexy double indicator insanity on the back of my bike (don't ask) so the standard sticky out ones and a dual rear light/indicator after market get up. I've resisted previously, but can't any longer. Why the double indicators at the rear?! Quote
Hoggs Posted March 22, 2017 Author Posted March 22, 2017 Possibly a bad connection somewhere! Good luck Nope. I've resisted previously, but can't any longer. Why the double indicators at the rear?!Well my dear Lats, what I assume happened is one of the many previous owners thought, hey I'll make it super streamline awesome with a combi unit then just never got round to taking the other indicators off. Well that's not quite as interesting a story as I'd hoped. Not gotten round to removing them yourself either though!I like the integrated indicators on my bike, and think I'd worry about breaking sticky-out ones! Quote
Arwen Posted March 22, 2017 Posted March 22, 2017 Sounds like a dodgy connection somewhere to me. Mine do it if they are not earthed correctly... I am now curious to see how the back of your bike looks! Quote

Hi Hoggs, as your left side indicators are working as they should, that sort of puts the relay out of the question, but would check your Grey wire front to back, right front to right rear ,to see if it has got pinched anywhere, also connectors and give the relay a wiggle too while operating right indicator Quote

I am now curious to see how the back of your bike looks! Its standard Arwenjust the rear light has integrated LED indicators built in but the standard ones are left in place. Probably so as not to have to fit resistors. Quote
